The Great Devourer

here are my beloved tyranids.
1st a small selection of my 8,000 points, flyrant, prime, 2 warriors, 3 raveners and a carnifex.
then a closer look at my flying hive tyrant.
then the tyranid prime.
and finally my pride and joy, a hierophant bio titan!!

Looks like it would be a shame if someone turned on the burners...?
Looks great though. Nice FW piece also.

Thanks Jack. That Hierophant was the single most annoying model I have ever had the misfortune of building!
Every single spike along the body is a separate piece smaller than an atom that you have to carefully snip off the frame and attach to the body. The legs don't support the weight of the beast and unfortunately yesterday one of the damn legs snapped! How I'm going to repair it is beyond me!!
All in all although it is an awesome model and it terrifies any opponent, I will never ever buy another one!!

Yeah, I was suspicious about that particular model. FW can be challenging with their small bits and such. But the good thing is supposedly at the new year we should be seeing a new Tyranid codex. Maybe an equally scary model will come out alongside...?

Well the rumour is that we will have a massive spider like psyker thing. Sounds like a winner to me!
Just made a base for my hierophant out of a metal pizza tray and loads of polystyrene. Its taking forever to paint!!
