| Index Xenos: Kabal of the Sundering Eclipse
Physical Characteristics The kabalites of the Sundering Eclipse are of similar stature to all Eldar, being lithe yet strong. All of the kabal members dye their hair a lucid green upon initiation, but only those who progress further upon the ladder of command will have a tattoo somewhere upon themselves of a black disc enveloping all but the corona of a deep blue sun, the symbol of allegiance to and of the Kabal itself.
Home world While the Kabal owns a rather large flotilla of Dark Eldar cruisers and escort craft, It has a good string of dock and spires in Port Hex where the Kabal rests, trains, and recruits. From here they launch their raids from a solid defense line capable of fending off the smaller and desperate Kabals from taking the valuable docking stations. As well, they have a few ships made from and crewed by their Craftworld cousins that have stayed with the "Path of the Outcast", often commanded by a nominated captain from the trueborn, untrustworthy as they can be, to keep the crews in line with what madam Keli Asull wants.
The Kabal tends to rely on their fleet to carry them safely towards potential raids, often using surprise and guile to pick off the sluggish and unsuspecting pilgrim ships of the Imperium, or using the cover of celestial bodies to launch an invasion fleet headed by masses of Razorwing fighter interceptors and Voidraven bombers like a lance at an unsuspecting province of the lesser prey races.
Combat Capabilities: The Sundering Eclipse relies on air superiority to carry the day, relying on the skill and bravado of the pilots to follow the ideals of a surgical blade. Often they will target the lumbering vehicles of opposing forces first from the rear; destroying hidden artillery and tanks as required, before slicing apart the head of command before flights of raiders and venoms loaded with warriors pounce down upon the disoriented forces.
They also can rely upon their allies to aid in an assault, namely the wyches of the Cult of Agony Divine and the homunculi of the Coven of the Shattered, preferring to let the Wyches attack the throat of any rallied force while the kabalites round up any stragglers.
Social Structure
Commanding the entirety of the Kabal is Archon Keli Asull. Often identified only by her voice and the reflective darkness of her visor to her lackeys, she personally oversees the running of her flagship, The Vorpal Dao. Often concealed behind her onyx mirrored visor when not isolated, she has to constantly deal with those who would attempt to impersonate her. Yet, while it is often a simple task to change one’s voice as of yet no one is capable of imitating her siren voice. Quite a few have been put to the blade as even skilled flesh sculptors cannot come close to making a larynx anywhere similar to hers. Some speculation and hearsay tells that she is not truly a Dark Eldar, but a demon in disguise, while others believe she murdered the only one skilled enough to create a similar voice box so she would be unique amongst the rest. The only person to ever truly know outside of the slaves she keeps is quite possibly Sedarofe, who seems to have some ties with her as a custom chamber is always kept tidy and ready for him upon her flagship.
For some reason or another, the Kabal of the Sundering Eclipse has been seen aiding one craftworld whenever a threat that looms over it beckons. It is possible that Archon Keli has ties to this rather unknown craftworld, but perhaps it is also a notion amongst her Kabal that the Eldar will reign upon the galaxy once more.
However, because of this, the Kabal does occasionally “recruit” from those who have chosen the “Path of the Outcast”. These Eldar are often left in their own cliques aboard the vessel, often the scrutiny by the other warriors, particularly the Sybarites. These warriors often have to prove themselves in the din of battle for the Kabal to witness, as it is easy for one to speak of glory, it is another entirely to prove it. Often viewed as nothing more then expendable fodder outside of the Wytch cult and The Shattered, time and time again proves that one of the craftworld can be of worth to the Kabal
First Contact The first recorded contact with the Imperium of Man was in the Calixis sector in 954.M40, when an Adeptus Mechanicus explorator fleet was utterly crippled while on route to Port Wander. The only known survivor was a lone tech priest upon a Lunar Class Cruiser The Archimedes. All the escort ships were broken and shattered, leaving The Archimedes alone to any rapturous vandals that sought such a prize. The Tech priest was lobotomized, since the trauma of the event was too much for the individual to take.

| Awesome. Can't wait to read more. The parts prior to "Social Structure," seem a little dry. It's still a WIP though. | |

| They probably are a little dry as I've spent more time trying to figure out who the Archon was compared to the Kabal. Well, that and trying to find a name for it. It can be rather difficult squeezing in stories while going to college | |

| I know. I'm out of classes for the time being, but trying to fit 40k into a twelve-hour course load was ridiculous, let alone a personal life and other gaming. | |

| Okay, edited it, and probably will tweak it some more once I settle on the name of the Wych Cult. | |
