I'm not 100% certain but, I believe DE:codex is the only dex that don't have walkers! Right? So I introduce you our own walker, the Night Spider! Base size: 60mm, height: half of a war walker and 8 legs, 2 front with different design. Its guns? Either front undermount or on its back. If I ever get out of my laziness, I'll draw a sketch and add some fluff (those of you that have heard something along this line know I'll never do it).
Night Spider
Very mobile walker, main role is close combat support but can be equipped as heavy weapons platform.
Stats:
HP: 2, AVs: Front-10, side-10, rear-10
WS: 4, BS: 4, S: 4, I: 6, A:3
Vehicle(Walker), Fleet, Move through Cover, Jink (6+), Jab Move
Wargear & weapons:
-2 Web Weaver: S: 3, range 24, AP:-, rules: Entangling Web, Assault 2
-2 Front Legs (dedicated legs for close combat)
-Prowler Core
-Grisly Trophy
Points: 65pts
Rules:
Jab Move: After firing with any weapon/type, in assault phase may move 1d6 instead of charging. (can be used with fleet)
Entangling web: For each hit a unit suffers from weapons with this rule, that unit receives a Web Token. For each token the model moves -2' in all its move/charge (Walkers becomes immobile if more than 3 tokens). If the model has Initiative and/or Attacks, reduce this by 1 for every two Web Token. All tokens are removed at the beginning of your next Move phase, before moving anything. (reason to model and paint new tokens!)
Prowler Core: Allows the Night Spider to run then shoot. Increases its Jink(6+) to Jink(4+), grants Dodge(4+) in close combat.
Options:
Replace both Web Weaver with:
-One Dark Lance +15pts
-One Liquifier gun + 10pts
-One Splinter Cannon for free
May take any:
-NightShields +10pts
-FlickerField +10pts
May replace Prowler Core with:
-One additional Dark Lance +15pts
-One additional Splinter Cannon for +5pts
I suspect I'm missing a rule that allows it to move run shoot and charge. If that's the case, help me fix it
They don't come in squads. My intentions for this one is to make it OP but not obviously OP, so that awhile after its release people will come and realize that it is OP and force me to write a FAQ/ammendment.
What do you think?
