| So, there are 3 games in the tournament, I have each scenario. Scenario 1: Volcanic Clash Deployment: Standard 12 inch deployment, Long table edge. Objectives: 4 primary Objectives located in the center of each table quarter, plus secondary objectives (warlord, firstblood, linebreaker) Special rules: Random game length, Corrosive atmosphere, Volcanic Eruption: Beginning on the 2nd turn of the game, both players roll a D6 and add the total together, This is the initial radius of the volcanic eruption occurring in the center of the table. On each subsequent game turn, the size of the eruption will increase by the higher of the dice rolled. Any model that is touched by the magma flow will suffer a S10 AP1 melta hit with no cover saves allowed. This includes models moving though the magma flow. Any flyer moving over the flow will roll a D6, on a 2 or less they lose one hull point.
Scenario 2: Meat grinder Deployment: Vanguard Strike Objectives: 5 primary objectives, plus secondary objectives. Special rules: Mine fields: before deployment, players will alternate placing 6 mine markers on the field. They can be placed anywhere more than 3 inches away from another mine marker. All ground within 3 inches of a mine marker is difficult and dangerous with no armor saves allowed.
Scenario 3: Grand Duel Deployment: Dawn of War Objectives: Kill points, plus secondary objectives. Special rules: The Grand Duel: beflor the games begins, both players may nominate a troops choice character to participate in the duel. If you do, your entire army benefits from a +1 bonus to leadership for the remainder of the game. If you do not, the entire army suffers from -1 leadership for the remainder of the game. When the duelists have been selected, place the models 6 inches apart in the center of the table. Then roll a D6 and add the models initiative to the die roll, the model who rolls higher wins and gets to shoot and assault first. Overwatch is permitted. The duel is fought till one of the duelist is dead. The winner of the duel will receive 1 victory point and the losing model is removed from play. Then the game begins with normal deployment.
So, after reading these scenarios, this is the list I have prepared.
HQ: Archon w/ Huskblade and Shadowfield
Troops: 5 Kabalites 2x 5 Wyches w/ haywire grenades in a Venom w/ Spintercannon and Nightshields 2x 10 Kabalites w/ Splintercannon in a Raider w/ Nightshields and Splinterracks
Elites: 3 Bloodbrides w/ Hydra Gauntlets and a Hekatix w/ Power Weapon in a Venom w/ Nighthsields and Splintercannon
Fast Attack: 8 Reavers w/ 2 Heat Lances
Heavy Support: 2 Razorwings w/ nightshields flickerfields and splintercannon
Total: 1494
There is a no proxy rule and I have 9 Reavers, 10 Scourges, 3 Raiders, 3 Venoms, 30 Wyches, 30 Kabalites (though I could most likely make a couple more with bits I have leftover) a Succubus, an Archon, 2 Razorwings, and 2 Ravagers.

| Hmm, I would get rid of 2 reavers, or add 1 more so I could take 3 heat lances. Get rid of the 5 man warrior squad. Change the blood brides into wyches and put them in a raider. I usually never take cannons on my razorwing because you can only shoot it after all of the missiles are shot. | |

| You can fire 4 weapons per turn with a flyer, and only two missiles, so I can fire two missiles, and the splinter cannon, plus one more weapon every turn. Well two turns for missiles.
Anyway, I have heavily revised the list, and here is V.2
HQ: Archon w/ Huskblade and Shadowfield
Troops: 2x 10 Wyches with 2 Hydra Gauntlets and a Hekatrix w/ VB in a Raider 5 Wyches with Hydra Gauntlets and a Hekatrix w/ VB in a Raider 3x5 Kabalites in a Venom w/ Extra splintercannon and Nightshields
Fast Attack: 2x 3 Reavers w/ Heat Lance
Heavy Support: 2x Razorwing w/ flickerfields and splintercannon
Total: 1496

| If you take one unit of 6 reavers, you will save one killpoint for the last mission.

| With low points it might be worth buying Venom Blade instead of Huskblade for the archon, frees up 30p. you already have 54p availible, andif you change on of your flyers into a Ravager stock you'd free up another 60p. That would let you field another Ravager or something else. 144p.
In fact you could save the huskblade and trade one Jetwing for 2 ravagers.
With 3 raiders already on the field you could then go 1 dissie Ravager and one Lance ravager.
I second Seraff, make the Reavers into 1 unit. Check out Mushkillas bat reps for tips and tricks regarding Reavers.
If you re-visit huskblade you could increase unit size for the Wych escort.

| I'd really like to keep the Huskblade on the Archon, and I only have 4 points left. It's 1500 points. | |

| Well I tested out the last list I posted (putting the 2x3 reavers into one unit) and it worked alright, I tested it against an Eldar player in my local group of players, he will also be attending the tournament. We played the kill points game, and I lost 12-9 (would have been 12-10 if I had remembered to fly one of my razorwings over into his deployment >.< ) After realizing what killed me in the end, and what more or less cost me the game, was my lack of anti-tank. He only took 3 vehicles, and all he had left on the board was 2 Fire prisms and half a squad of Wraithguard. My raiders blew up too quickly, so their DLs were wasted, the heat lance reavers were wasted because they didn't get to shoot at any vehicles. So, after some careful thought, I have remastered the list yet again, and I believe this one will do much better.
HQ: Archon w/ Shadowfield and VB
Troops: 5 Wyches w/ Hydra Gauntlets and Hekatrix w/ power weapon in a Raider 2x 10 Wyches w/ 2x Hydra Gauntlets, Haywire grenades and a Hekatrix w/ VB in a Raider 3x5 Kabalites in Venom w/ Extra cannon and nightshields
Fast Attack: 3 Reavers w/ heat lance
Heavy Support: Razorwing w/ Flickerfields and Splintercannon 2x Ravager w/ Nightshields
Total: 1498 | |

| You are very wych heavy. Remember what you are trying to accomplish with each unit.
3 Reavers are usually not worth taking as they die very easily. The razorwing splinter cannon is usually not worth it. You have 2 full rounds of shooting with missiles and lances. that doesn't leave a whole lot of shooting left for the missile to do. With our paper planes being what they are, 2 rounds of shooting is not half bad output either.
What is your thought behind the points in upgrades for the wyches? Heka + Gauntlets?
I'm glad it wasn't just in my head then!

| You're right about the wych heavy thing, I'm not sure why I'm so heavy on the wyches, just seems like it would work, but I may switch one of the 10 wyches to 10 Kabalites. Hekatrix is cheap and can do a lot, gauntlets give me more attacks that I need because I need to get as many hits as possible so I have a better chance to wound. What would you suggest I switch the reavers to? I was thinking possibly 3 Trueborn w/ 2 Dark Lances. | |

| Regarding the wych heaviness I think 3 units is ok, but you need to drop some wargear. I took the list you suggested before:
Archon w/ Shadowfield and VB
Troops: 5 Wyches w/ Hydra Gauntlets and Hekatrix w/ power weapon in a Raider 2x 10 Wyches w/ 2x Hydra Gauntlets, Haywire grenades and a Hekatrix w/ VB in a Raider 3x5 Kabalites in Venom w/ Extra cannon and nightshields
Fast Attack: 3 Reavers w/ heat lance
Heavy Support: Razorwing w/ Flickerfields and Splintercannon 2x Ravager w/ Nightshields
I suggest to do the following. Take the 5-models squad in a raider. Drop the hekatrix and gauntlets, give the HWG. This will be a classic anti-tank kamikaze squad. Take a bigger squad of wyches and drop one model and all the gauntlets - the archon will ride here. Int the 2nd big squad you should also drop the gauntlets. Drop the Splinter Cannon from the Jetfighter as Phiandros said. The experience shows, the plane doesn't survive so many turns to fire the cannon after all missles are gone. Now you can take 3 more bikes with heat lance (its much better then a couple of Hydra gauntlets). I was never disappointed in bikes and i think it is better choice, then the lanceborn squad. Taking nightshields on venoms is an interesting choice. Usually I take blasters, but these guns are often waste of points.

And they have guaranteed anti-tank power. For more balance it's ok change wyches on Venom for warriors, it costs the same. However it gives one objective-holding squad and 12 more shoots, which you will lack if you send the wyches on that Venom in flat out.
