1850pt list - Wych themed

Hi all!

After playing a rather succesfull list in 5th edition, I abandonned my Wychcult to dig up my old Dark Angels.
Now I want to get my Dark Eldar in the game again so I made my first 6th edition list.
Thetarget is not a competetive list but just one to havefun in my local meta

2x 8 wyches w/ 1 shardnet, 1 razorflails & hekatrix w/ agoniser and PGL
2x raider w/ dissie

4x 5 wyches w/ haywire
4x venom w/ double SC & nightshields

9 Reavers w/ 3 Heat lances

Voidraven w/ flickerfield, nightshield & 2 implosion missiles
2x Ravager w/ night shield & 3 lances


Totals up to 1839 points so I still have some points to spend.

I know that my vehicles are probably a little bit too tooled out but I'm afraid of losing them way too fast to make a difference.


Please let me know what you think and what I should change!

Agreed. Also consider a venom blade on him. Cheap and helps a lot for winning combat and getting out to bladevane more.

List looks very aggressive and fun!

Duke Sliscus needs a unit of Kabalites or Trueborn to make te most of him. As it is now, you've got an expensive archon not as good at CC, just for those drug rolls.

I put a Haemy with each of my Wych squads in raiders, and then run a cheap Splinterborn Venom for the duke to ride with. I find that I have durable Wyches and also get to use the Dukes poison effectively on 12 long range splinter shots.

When things get hairy and the Venom is going to get assaulted, pop the Duke out to stall your opponent (or in my experience; do some serious damage in the process) while the Splinterborn with the 3+ poison and Venom continue to wreck face across the table.

Just an idea of what you can do, and what I have had great fun doing myself with a similar set-up to yours.

Alright, I tweaked my list a bit.

I took out the duke in favor of a second haemie w/ LG
Furthermore I gave the reavers a tenth model and a champ upgrade with a venom blade.

It now looks like this:

I made some errors in the previous list (rulewise & pointwise), here is the corrected one:

I was thinking I could change the reavers to 3x3 but I'm a bit afraid for their survivability

I could also change the reavers for 14 hellions with a heliarch (with a venom blade and PGL)
If I do that my list would be 1849 points.

Dropping Duke is a mistake if you a running a wych army. Any particular reason you made the Haemies ancients? You could just take 3 normal ones and still have a 2nd HQ slot free to buy Duke.

I took the ancients for the better statline and because I could spare the points.
If I keep the same list without the ancients but with 2 regular haemies and the duke, I'm 84points short.

However, if I take 2 regular haemies, drop 1 wych from a raider-mounted squad and drop the arena champ (the reavers will mostly do tankhunting anyway), I could take a succubus with an agonizer and haywire grenades to boost 1 of the big wych units.

The heamies could also join the raiders but stay inside after the wyches disembark to shoot their LG while the wyches assault troops and the venom mounted wyches assault vehicles.

Equip the regular Haemies with an upgrade besides the LG, venom blade comes to mind. Add them to your wych squads, lose the hekatrix.

Give ALL the wych squads HWG. Both Raider squads are at 9, Haemie makes 10 for max transport capacity.

Reavers and HS left unchanged, that totals 1750, no Duke included.
