The Big Daddy of Blades at Breakneck Speeds

As you may already know i am a very big fan of Jetbikes, Every one of lists must have jetbikes because i love them too much. Now im trying out a 1500 point list in the tourny. Should i run 9 man Reaver jetbike squads with 3 Cluster Caltrops and 3 Heat Lances or 10? Btw im using in total of either 27 or 30 Jetbikes ( Jetbike spam). Im also taking a couple of ravagers along with a Talos. The rest im debating on what to take:) comment please. The Tourny is this wednesday. cheers

Drop the cluester things to save some pts on a allredy expensive unit. Cluster cost and arm and a leg, and are a waist of points if you not baldvaing evry turn, revers bladvaine fine without them.
Also consider replacing heeatlances with blasters, the longer range makes the unit more flexible, with is a plus in eny turnement.

As for troop you need troops tht support the revers, and raather then going in to a diteld explenation here, Mushkilla relly got all that coverd in his fantastic battle reports, you can find them here, happy reeding, and best of luck!

I'd drop the caltrops - you can't use them in the same turn as the heat lances, so it's a waste of points (if you're using 3 groups of jetbikes, maybe drop the heat lances on the third group in favour of the caltrops).

I'd probably favour squads of 9, simply because it's more efficient in terms of special weapons. However, at that squad size, the difference is minimal - so it will more likely depend on what you can do with the ~65pts you'd save by using 3 squads of 9.

If you still want to take Cluster Caltrops, drop the other guns. I can understand the value of a hard hitting Blade Vane strike for things like hitting enemies that have disembarked behind wrecked transports out of LoS. If you are going to take them, take one unit with Cluster Caltrops and no other upgraded weapons.
