Two night shield questions.

During night fighting, do night shields take 6 inches away from the 36 from night fighting, or is it 36 site then -6 to the weapons range?

Also, when figuring out rapid fire range with night shields, is the rapid fire range itself cut in half (so for marines it's 6 instead of 12) or is it the total range is cut in half, then half of that is the rapid fire range? (so for marines it's 9 instead of 12).

they can see the full 36" but the range of their guns are -6"

total cut in half 24" goes to 18" half of 18" is 9"

Night Shields and Night fighting do not interact at all.
