Greetings from a neophyte of the dark ways.

Hi all.

I'm fairly new to 40k (started just before 6th came out) and only play among friends so far.  My first army choices were CSM or Dark Eldar.  Daunted by the level of painting skill demanded by the fantastic Dark Eldar models I chose CSM (Night Lords).  Now I am getting really good at painting fine lightning bolts, so am now feeling ready to take on the true masters of darkness and terror.

I seek dark lore and eternal power, and to perv at the fine project logs.
I offer the promise of future battle reports, and maybe some nice pictures of woe and scenes of debauched carnage visited upon my enemies.

"perv at the fine project logs", eh? That's one way of putting it. Welcome to the TDC, I am glad that you have chosen DE amongst your first armies, they can be challenging, but are well worth it.

As for mastering the painting skills, no one is perfect - well, almost no one. There's a couple here who can ......... Anyway, we look good in black too, so when in doubt that may help
