| From what I can tell (I'm still fairly new to all this so I wouldn't rely on me too much), Succubi can be extremely useful due to their combat drugs, and they have a couple of things that I won't bore you with now, that the Archon doesn't have. I do like the look of the Archon model, but if your basing it on effectiveness in battle I'd go for a Succubus. | |

Harley's were wiped out in Turn 4 because I rolled Perils on it. This is one reason I just can't bring myself to invest in Harlequins. Fail a single psychic test (on Ld9) and they are, quite simply, dead. For such expensive models that's just too risky. Put Grisly Trophies on one or two Raiders, keep them empty and flat out them next to the Shadowseer every turn. Your opponent will either waste fire power on the Raiders or you will get a twinlinked psychic test. why not just mount the harlies in the raider T1 and get them to where they need to be?(obviously no farseer this way) saves all that messing about! or if you need rending attacks and invul saves, why not take a look at beastmasters? - TheHiddenAquila wrote:

archon for incubi is all about the PGL. as incubi have no grenades, the archon can compensate for that with the phantasm grenade launcher option. succubus is nice and all, but has no access to AP2 weaponry unlike the rest of the squad, so if you chuck your expensive combat unit at something with a 2+, the succubus is gonna stand their whiffing most of her attacks against high armour. the archon can take a huskblade so wins on that level too. for most roles, the archon is the better bet. if you're up against someone who's character heavy, you could also consider a klaivex with demi-klaives and the preferred enemy power. he makes for quite a beast and can easily decimate a lot of HQ choices in the game, freeing your archon up to slaughter the squad. | |

| I'm going to be controversial, and say over both an Archon and a Succubus I'd take an Haemonculus. Of the choice I'd go with Archon, but a Haemonculus would be better a) for the auto-Pain Token/Feel No Pain, and b) just to give the squad a wild and wacky shooting attack. | |

| yeah, i see why you'd say that, but unless you detach him and leave a token with the incubi, he takes away fleet, doesn't grant any grenades and is fairly crap in combat. An archon brings grenades and AP2 to mesh with the unit, a succy with venom blade/agoniser at least brings a stack of AP3/poison 2+ attacks to help with hordes or MEQ and at least she will attack at INI.
But i dont really see the benefit of a haemy outside of the random AP flamer. you could just take bloodstone upgrade on a klaivex if you need a flame attack, its guaranteed to thin a MEQ unit or lesser thanks to perma AP3.
