data slates

Not sure where to put it to ask this question, so stuck it here.

Are the data slates available from the black library just the specific rules for those units in one bundle? or are there special rules for the forces on the data slates?

i.e. if you already have the eldar codex, is there any reason to buy the ghost warriors dataslate?

The dataslate specifies exactly what the formation is made up of. It also lists any special rules that applies to models in that formation. You can see it as a mini-supplement, like Iyanden is for codex Eldar. But without any background, images, art, etc. Basically a cheap way for GW to make money by slapping some special rules on a part of an army list, then taking a snapshot of it, print is as PDF and charge people for it.

so there are different rules then.

Has anyone downloaded the new eldar one to see if the special rules are any good? Worth the $4.00 or so to download it?
