| Meh.
People have been giving far too much weight to items not being in stock somewhere or other. From new releases and Finecast-to-plastic to complete discontinuation. Most however, have turned out to be nothing. The ones that did, ended up just being a reboxing into the new box designs.
Other parts of the rumour ask for even more salt: - Dark Eldar have been mentioned as part of a new starter kit? I must have missed that. - We already knew Orks and Blood Angels are inbound. - Leaks from the new WD reveal that Dark Vengeance will continue to be sold. In fact, the rules inside will be updated to the new edition in due course.

| That is indeed the first ive heard of DE being in any kind of starter kit...that ones absurd.
Dissapointed about Dark Vengeance though, I didn't like that kit all. 2 marines armies=boring. Awfuly gribbly chaos models with duplicate models (same for dark angels). The only GW starter kit that was amazing if you ask me was the Battle for Skull Pass for WHF. You got terrain, a ton of options and troops and they all looked cool.

I don't think it's likely to be true, but I have no idea why it's absurd. We've been in a starter before. I could see it happening again.

| I think it just boils down to the lack-luster sales of certain models, if a store isn't required to carry that model then it can carry other models that might sell faster in its place. | |

Really? Well, I heard, that happened before. 3rd or 4th edition, when I remember right. Is that so absurd?

| It was in 3ed, but the starter itself was absurd indeed. 10 marines + Land Speeder Vs 20 humble Warriors. IMO this was the worst starter in 40k history. | |

| I agree. But it happened. I didn't say, that the armies weren't absurd, which they were, but the idea of having DEs in a starter set already happened. | |
