She would however, mince units of 2+ armoured stuff without breaking sweat, and don't forget later in the game she becomes S5 on the charge.

| 1) Topic was about "challenge machine". She's nowhere near that status 2) Only mass 2+ units which one can expect is Gay Knights (that's homophobic, in a sense that gays might find themselves offended by comparison with Ward's abomination. If there are homosexual people reading this you're probably not inclined to slaughter innocent girls and declare your love by carving messages on hurts, so i certainly didn't mean you're similar to GK) Termies.
Mean wounds:
Assume 6 attacks. (don't recall her actual A value, might be actually 7 on charge).
4 hits, 2 wounds, 1 and 1/3 termie dead. So much for "mincing".
4 termies swing back, activating hammerhand (no need to use force since S6 will ID her anyway).
8 attacks, 4 hits (if only she were WS9...), ~3 wounds, so her chance of survival is 1/8.
I'd rather point some surplus Blasters at them.

| Damn you and your 'maths', haha! (don't get me started on mathammer and that 1/3 of a dead terminator that can't possibly happen in the game, it's either 1, or 2)
She's 4 attacks basic, but don't forget she also gets a +1 to one of her stats, S would be nice, WS9 would limit incoming attacks, or T would also be a good result. I'd never argue against another A either, I and Ld are probably the only ones that don't help us here.
As for shooting more blasters, I thought the discussion was about the succubus? She also brings a WWP, which I think I'd happily pay many more points for than is rumoured.

| Problem is that even it's 2 termie dead, three pose too much of a threat to just facecheck their attacks. In best case scenario, we're looking at roughly 50% chance of surviving first turn. That's generally not acceptable.
Well, there is 2+ such as Techmarines, Centurions, etc which eats duck poop in CC, where her AP2 is handy. And they usually don't ID Succubi.
But i still don't find it amazing.

But i still don't find it amazing. If she stays around the same cost then 2 hammer wielding termies are about the same cost as her with a glave if it is reasonably priced. Expecting her to slaughter over twice her points cost in one turn is silly.

| Hammer wielding are out of her league. But they're extinct, only regular ones remain. Those cost 33 pts per goyim and are psykers.
SM combat characters can slaughter 2x and even 3x their value without any problems. See Chapter Master on Bike with shield eternal and thunderhammer. Daemons are also pretty killy and are not concerned by silliness.

| Alright, sorry this is a bit off-topic but there's no "rumors thread" on here anymore so I feel like this is as good a place to ask as any.
I just want to be clear; have there yet been no rumors of Dark Eldar getting a rule akin to CWE's Battle Focus rule? (That's the one that allows eldar to move-run-shoot/move-shoot-run)
If not, then that absence alone leaves me rather skeptical of all these other rumors we've been hearing. After all, dark eldar are THE fast race in this universe, and to be rendered slower than their less altered, less drug-ridden brothers seems an impossibility to me at this juncture.
Again, sorry to stray from the task at hand, just wanted to be sure that no one's heard of any such rumors.

Again, sorry to stray from the task at hand, just wanted to be sure that no one's heard of any such rumors. Supposedly, some people in have had the codex in hand for about a week now and this is where the "leaks" have sprung from (no pun intended), and yet to my knowledge there has not been one single leak of an image from the codex. So in reality, pretty much everything (except Vect being left out of the iCodex) is still up in the air until we get our own grubby little hands on it at the end of this week.

That would be Power from Pain, our 'signature' special rule (as Battle Focus is theirs). I also haven't heard that we're afraid of Slaanesh people like they are, so perhaps we are not?

| I don't see why we would fear slaanesh. Our souls are already dead and damned that's why we have no psychic presence. DE just regrow and alter and continue in the physical form instead I always assumed. | |

| Against just about any marine character who -doesn't- have the thunder hammer/shield eternal (or isn't on a bike) the Succubus can put up a decent fight. Succubus hits on 3s, wounds on 4s compared to the marine hitting on 4s wounding on 3s, which is pretty equivalent as far as damage output goes. Both will have a 4++ (Iron Halo vs Dodge), and the Succubus has the edge of swinging first. Also, sending her off and expecting her to solo a unit of terminators is daft. That's what incubi are for | |

| Yeah, my money's on the glaive Succubus to become our beatstick combat character if we can keep her safe (of course, that was always a problem with the Archon too). I'm looking forward to actually using mine. She seems like our weapon of choice against Chaos squad leaders and even the less kitted out lords. She could take out a tooled up one with a bit of luck, especially late game. SO many strength issues falling by the wayside with these rumours... | |

| Stick her with some clawed fiends or grots and webway her into it. Then just soak the wounds on the big chumps. | |

Modded. No images of stats please. Linking to them and pics is fine, but we can't actually show them. Thanks, Gob.

I won't miss him. Now everyone can stop talking about the flipping "Dias." Dais, people. DAIS. According to Wikipedia, Dias was a Portuguese navigator who was the first person to round the Cape of Good Hope. Some of you just learned two things from this post
