Tantalus ?

Interested in adding a tantalus to the army. But biggest question is, is it competitive or even worth getting over other models? It's beautiful looking and would be awesome to field but don't want to waste the money unless it's a strong tournament addition. Thoughts?

It's very expensive (points and dollars wise) and very fragile (both in game and in real life).

You will probably do very well with against opponents who have not seen a Tantalus on the battlefield before (given its prohibitive cost, this will probably be common).

Against opponents who are prepared for it, or who know what a Tantalus can do and how to stop it, it is extremely fragile, and will be fairly easy to neutralize or destroy.

My idea is to have an archon wwp with wraithguard d scythes deep strike and cause hell. Could also make for a great fear bomb list
