| Been busy over the weekend and did some more work on my one of three raiders. The gun I'm pretty pleased with. It's magnetised so that it swivels but also so it can be taken off for transport. Then - far from complete - I have the tentacles which will link the control seat Wrack to the rest of the ship. It's slow going but I think it's worth it. I also took the time to make my unit of four haywire Scourges. Did I just buy for boxes so that I could get four of the same weapon? Maybe. Am I using nothing other than legs, heads and guns from them? Also maybe. But my bits box overfloweth so you know... I am using Tyranid Gargoyle bits so that they fit the theme. I love the tails and honestly if I were to go under the Haemonculi's knife there is no way in heck I'd not get a tail. I need to work a little on spines for some of them. But the end result should keep em all looking like the ones that are done. _________________ Myca's Surgeon Slab: Blood Doll Build Log

| They look awesome dude absolutely love the Gargoyle wings tying them into the Tyranid-hybrid theme, and the tails are genuinely perfect they give them that slightly more animalistic look which is really really cool. Might have to steal that for my exodites! _________________ Check out may pan-Eldar projects Exodites, Corsairs, Craftworld, True Kin, Croneworld (soon) and one Shadowseer!: http://www.thedarkcity.net/t14405-corsairs-exodites-craftworlders-and-hopefully-kabalites-soon | |

| That raider! Oh man. I heard there were some heamonculi that were experimenting with grafting tyranid bits. But it seems they have almost perfected it. Absolutely brutal looking. _________________ I have a Project Log

I just have to figure out how to do a raider in a similar style hahaha. _________________ Myca's Surgeon Slab: Blood Doll Build Log

| Good morning, Figured I'd prove I wasn't dead. I've set up a production line for the Raiders on Tuesday. I also got some bits on the side to be the Torment Grenade Launchers. Just need to sculpt the tentacles around them and hook the driver up a little more and we should be golden. Now I'd ask for some input, I bought those massive rectangle bases - you know the ones terrorgheist used to sit on *single tear* - and thought I'd do scenic bases for this Kabal. I have a choice though, Spawning pools and nid bits from their subspace realm. OR Battle diorama. What do we think would look best? _________________ Myca's Surgeon Slab: Blood Doll Build Log

| These look chuffing awesome unlike the Americans, I use the word 'awesome' properly, as in 'this thing inspires awe' Can't wait to see them finished Oh, and I have no idea about which diorama style thing would be best. Which one are you most excited about? _________________ Check out may pan-Eldar projects Exodites, Corsairs, Craftworld, True Kin, Croneworld (soon) and one Shadowseer!: http://www.thedarkcity.net/t14405-corsairs-exodites-craftworlders-and-hopefully-kabalites-soon | |

| Thank you very much.
I kind of like the idea of the Tyranid spawning pools or like the inside of a haemonculi lab or something. But I am not sure if that is "Too much nid" for this project.

| No such thing as 'too much nid' for this I say do it The thing I was thinking of doing for my exodites is making some custom objective markers. Could be some cool ideas for your dudes that you could use the spawning pool idea for _________________ Check out may pan-Eldar projects Exodites, Corsairs, Craftworld, True Kin, Croneworld (soon) and one Shadowseer!: http://www.thedarkcity.net/t14405-corsairs-exodites-craftworlders-and-hopefully-kabalites-soon | |

| It's your army dude, "Too much Nid" for your army would be like "Too many Undead" for mine, that's the THEME! Push it and have fun with it! (Have you thought of running beastpacks with Tyranid conversions as the beasts?) _________________ Project Log The Slave Games

| In the new Fracture of Biel Tan book Lelith is having a massive duel in the arena with loads of modified tyranids worked on by the haemonculus covens, so the beast pack idea could work really well, mixing talos and tetanus parts together to create so. | @YnneadwraithYeah that's not a bad idea. I on thinking about it again don't think raiders would fit in the lab part of the Hae-lab so I think I'll do the nid stuff for both base and markers. @Rhivan I had some chimera conversions in my last iteration of the DE but this list is 750 points and themed around the Terrorgheists - can you see what I loved yet - and their wounding through leadership. So it's all torment grenades, phantasm launchers and armour of misery. It's a pretty uncompetitive list but it'll make for a good story when it works right. No venom, DL, raider ravager spam for me. No sir. This also means until I up the points there won't be any beast masters in this one. Though it'd give me an excuse to have a gargoyle ridden hellion as a beast master. @Spellcheck2001Potentially yeah but my list at the moment does not have room for 'em. I still have a but tone of spoopy harlequins to convert as well. I'll add it to the project list though. _________________ Myca's Surgeon Slab: Blood Doll Build Log

| So my obsession with Tyranids is likely bordering the fetishistic. Which makes sense because Kerrigan was my first love... An area of contention between my boyfriend and I hahahaha. So here we have the beginnings of my Kabalites. I need to tidy them up, make them look more organic etc. But this is the theme. Then some progress on the Raider Fleet. I've decided to not attach the 'helmsman' until I have tentacled - totally a word - the hull up a load. _________________ Myca's Surgeon Slab: Blood Doll Build Log

Bet you could make some kickass looking Incubi if you can get Boneswords the right size so much potential for gribbly covens Tyranid counts-as stuff Raider fleet is looking great too _________________ Check out may pan-Eldar projects Exodites, Corsairs, Craftworld, True Kin, Croneworld (soon) and one Shadowseer!: http://www.thedarkcity.net/t14405-corsairs-exodites-craftworlders-and-hopefully-kabalites-soon

| And I'm back baby! Jeepers life got more than a little hectic - though I won't bore you with the details.
With my rebirth comes a load of news, some of it good, some of it bad and some of it just that... News:
- The goods news is that I have got one heck of an order arriving tomorrow, all the bits I could conceivably need to boost this party to the statues of a real coven.
- The bad news is that, in the - almost - two years I have been dead, my raiders have gone missing. No doubt lost in house moves or w/e.
- The news (which could be good or bad depending on your point of view) is that - since I have all the bits to complete more of my Wracks, Grotesques and Pain engines/Parasite engines - that I was going to do sort of tutorials on them? Whether people want em of not. I've never done a tutorial before though, how would people - of those who'd want them - like them done? I have cameras, phones, webcams, what ever. Do people find step by step photos easier or would people want a video? I don't know. I do not follow instructions all that often haha.
First! Another twenty Wracks, so that I can fulfil a Battalion's troop tax! _________________ Myca's Surgeon Slab: Blood Doll Build Log

| Well my stuff arrived late, through no fault of dear Papa GeeDubs. Because I live in the 'Highlands' I don't count as mainland Scotland for a lot of delivery times... I guess it's the price I pay for solitude and stunning views. From this haul I will be able to construct twenty Wracks, three Grotesques (though I only need one) and both a Talos and a Cronos. It'll also add to my bits box quite considerable and help with the new revised plan I have for the Kabal and Cult sections of the Army. A box of Tree-Revenants and a box of Wracks will make you 5 'Blood Dolls'. Tutorial on building them to follow later tonight or tomorrow afternoon! _________________ Myca's Surgeon Slab: Blood Doll Build Log

| A few updates in this post. Firstly ten more Wracks, it's not twenty, but it's something. Then, the tutorial, I decided to spoiler it, because jeepers, people might not want it clogging up the page. For clarity, the instructions will be below the image to which they relate. - Tutorial:
These are your starting bit's, in this kit it's important that the torso matches the legs in 'most' cases. The first thing you'll want to do is get rid of all 'leafy' bits. I do this crudely because I feel it lends itself to the splintered bone look. You can be careful if you like. Base them, torso them. Next you'll want your heads, pick the ones that go with the hair. Because of that little ledge they are easier to cut in a straight line with snips or scalpel. You want to take the face off just in front of the ears. Getting the face plates in place is a total ball-ache. hold the ears between index finger and thumb, then gently lift the mask with my cutters. It gives you better dexterity than trying to get four fingers to fit hahaha. Stick the heads and pick the arms. The next part is a little tricky, and I'll try and get a better set of photos - honestly I forgot I was taking photos by this point. But you want to try and 'guess' the width of the Wrack bone thing, with the width of the tree part your replacing. It's not always a perfect fit, but that's what green stuff is for haha.
Thirdly, another Talos... which is why I only have ten wracks built. I needed to work on something larger, my eyes were crossing. Trying to get the poses different is hard, because they are mono-posed models. But with some pins, hacksaws, greenstuff - and a little blood - anything is possible. I look forward to working more on them tomorrow. Myca. _________________ Myca's Surgeon Slab: Blood Doll Build Log

are the shoulders and thighs of the talos the standard ones from the Drycha model? I really quite like the look of them, but can't tell if you created yourself.
