| Tonight's creation. Done, if he/she is lucky... It'll get a lick of paint. (Nobody hold their breath though) Now on with the next 10 Wracks and maybe a really snazzy Acothist! _________________ Myca's Surgeon Slab: Blood Doll Build Log

| That's all thirty Wracks done now. One Grotesque and one Cronos left! Happy [whatever you do or do not celebrate] to everyone! _________________ Myca's Surgeon Slab: Blood Doll Build Log

| Oh I'll be doing them the same colour as the ones behind; sort of rotten bone, pale skin and black armour... That is if I ever actually get round to painting them. Finished my Grotesques to make six! Sprayed everything - that was grey - black, ready for an airbrushing of Zhandri Dust! Once I finish the Cronos that is. _________________ Myca's Surgeon Slab: Blood Doll Build Log

| Welcome back! You're work with your covens really is inspirational. These are horrifying works of beauty. Seeing this on the table would be awesome. _________________ Project Log The Slave Games

| Hay, thank you both. I'm working on some mandrakes for a proxy game - and as a time kill while I work on the aesthetic for my wych cult element. They'll have ribs as well, to better hold the skulls in, but I may not actually commit to this aesthetic for the mandrakes or even use em hahaha. Not sure if I liked the models better before filling them with skulls? Who knows? Not me. EDIT: Thought I'd add the Wip for my coven reaver. It's slow - and more than a little frustrating when you put a fingerprint on something you've just worked on – but I think I have my cult/coven look. I'll also be sculpting a spine of sorts down the centre. _________________ Myca's Surgeon Slab: Blood Doll Build Log

| That sir, is downright ridiculous!! As in ridiculously fantastic. Well done! Though I suspect that will be a slow project to get a unit of 6 reavers done. | |

| Thank you.
Oh you have no idea. I also need to do it for nine of them, so rip me and my fingers I guess. Having said that, once I have it down, I think it'll be "production line-able", like do one panel on one Reaver, do a panel on the next, etc. By the time I am done with the one panel on nine I can probably start at the other end. That's the dream anyway.
The problem I am having is knowing where to stop, how much is too much and so on. I have sculpted the spine and will be making a mould of it so I can replicate it quickly. But I am not sure how much of the Reaver ought to look like that. I also wanted to change the blade veins to something else. Talos spines or something. Keep the shape, but make them look more flesh and bone-esque.
I'll update later this week - hopefully - with a more finished visual. _________________ Myca's Surgeon Slab: Blood Doll Build Log

| So I did a little more work on the reaver. I failed to make a copy of the spine mold but w/e I also working on some "Vicissitude Wyches" to go with the whole Tzimisce coven cult ally thing. I like it, it's not as out there as I'd like, but I feel it's quick and enough to claim I tried hahaha. _________________ Myca's Surgeon Slab: Blood Doll Build Log

| Here's a thought.
What if you made a mold of the whole front of the canopy? (I've never done molds, so not sure how feasible).
I know it would only work for the canopies that are shaped the same, but it would get those at least done.
You could also then use just the center part of the mold to do the spine. | |
