my plan was to have eldrad and troupe run up board and be a firing magnet and have everything else fall into place, i know its not competitive but it does seem like fun. what do you guys think?

I would ditch the starweaver for a shadowseer - will support Eldrad and protect the harlies on the way in.

I would also 100% try and move models around to take the Ulthwe strike force. Move the war walkers and the troops choice of bikes into that detachment. You need one more war walker or a cheap vyper perhaps to get the 4 units but its well worth it. Maybe drop a skyrunner warlock from the net to pay for it?

How does one make a fluffy Ynnari list? Do you paint the models Biel-Tan colors, smash them with a hammer, and then tape them back together?

You don't need to smash the biel tan units with a hammer. Just try gw's new take on the deepstrike scatter rule a few times (powerthrow them on the table).

I assumed fluffy by building the army based on the story. What it really needs is the Triumvirate to fully meet this criteria in my mind.

There are clearly some units added because the OP likes them or has them perhaps but by and large its a far more tame Ynnari list that most.

I think the Yncarne doesn't have to be in the same place as the other 2 all the time.

It can teleport to death so let's be real. It's anywhere at any time.

Oh agreed - but to me, the force seems like it either the very birth period of the Yncarne or very shortly after - at least fluff wise.

I am not saying they need to be added to go with it, just that fluff lists often benefit from having these sorts of characters added so the enemy has something instantly recognisable to reflect the fluff nature of the list.

If it's supposed to be fluffy where are the Howling Banshees? Didn't Jain Zar hop on board that freight train or something?

I do recall the banshees being part of the story yes. I guess like I mentioned, the OP has some units he likes or already owns and wants to use.

Well, OP didn't give a stated goal for the list other than for it to be Ynnari and not competitive. Since fluff is entirely subjective and both those boxes are ticked I think we can stick a fork in this one.

Kinda curious why there's a Ravager though.

I assumed it was a unit he owned and was using to fill points - I cant think of a tabletop reason for it over other options.
