Random kid asks questions wich have probably been answered already years ago

Hi,
I'm 16 years old, live near Zürich and I started getting into Warhammer 40k about 3 months ago. As the title says I have questions to ask,
so first of all my current "army" consists of the stuff from the start collecting box + 10 Kabalite warriors, 1 Raider and 1 Venom. Is there something I should definitely buy for my army or should I wait for the Codex?

For the most part, buy what you like. What looks cool to you. Rules come and go, but the models stay (for the most part).

That being had, Warriors, Raiders, Ravagers, and your basic HQ's are all pretty solid. If I had to say one thing to get next, it'd be a ravager.

There are some staples that you can buy whenever you want. You can never have enough Venoms, Ravagers, Raiders, Kabalites. These will fill out your Armies core, with a couple of HQ's.

Other good units are Scourge, both flyers, Incubi, but are not as important

When in doubt, kitbash kits so that things could plausibly count as multiple types of units. For example, gluing splinter rifles onto the backs of Wyches so that in a pinch they count as kabalites, or using the left arms of Wyches (melee-weapons) for the left arms of kabalites so that in a pinch they can count as Wyches.

Of course, not every player may be completely accommodating with these conversions, but outside of a tournament I can't see anybody having any serious problems.

The codex is only a couple weeks out.  Personally, I’d wait.

Less than that even, just 10 days away so I'd definetly wait and see what's changed.

I really hope that this is true this time, because people at my local shop are telling me that since I started(December 2017) xD

Get some scourges. Very cheap box, a blast to assemble and paint, and reaaaaally good unit

You should definitely buy more Transports. I suggest picking up another starter box since its so cheap and those units are very good.
