The only reason I'd play Bretonnia?

That would be the Green Knight. I've always liked that model, and he has got some damn fun rules as well. So now I finished painting him; what do you think?

Thank you. Over at Dakkadakka, it was suggested that I should add a couple of banners to the rods on his back, and I just had those finished. How do they look?

Banners really add to him IMO

Now I converted a Paladin with the Virtue of Empathy (so that he wouldn't need a horse). Just have to add a shield, and paint him.

Remembered now that I have been finished with that paladin for quite some time, and figured I might as well show him here. He has also gained the title The Knight of the Libra.

I decided to actually start with Bretonnia, little by little, so I have now painted this guy (also working on a second one):

I feel like painting a few old dusty knights as well, I only managed to get a few done and all of them look horrible!

I also really like the freehands on your green knight. Very skillful indeed. My own "green" knight has been painted blue and included in my Vampire army. I left out the fancy pattern on the barding though. My hat is off to you for that.

Thank you all; and yes, my Virtue of Empathy-knight was indeed inspired by the Armour of Judgement. Isn't that one of the coolest sets in the whole game of WoW?

You do know the history behind that Green Knight miniature? Michael Perry, the sculptor, lost his right hand in an accident with a cannon while playing in one of those re-enactment battles that some people do. As you can imagine, being right-handed and losing your right hand is bad enough in itself, but for a sculptor it's just the most tragic thing imaginable. It sounds like the end of your career, right? But no, he just learned to sculpt with his left hand instead. And the first thing he sculpted? That Green Knight.

No, I did not know that - and I can only agree with you; wow. The Green Knight is one of my favorite models, despite it being so old. And that it was made by a right-handed man, who then lost that hand? Gee.

Well that's weird!
I just appreciate that model a lot more now, and i'm lucky that it's the best painted breton I have ^^
