| So, I've already decided prehand that I'll be doing a Wych Cult regardless of how crap or OP they are in the new codex. Right now I'm thinking up a theme and I'm considering basing them off the Dark Elves from the forgotten Realms with my Succubus as Drizzt Do'Urden. My question is - What model should I use for him as base? I may use him as an Archon in larger games as well.
Here's what I'm currently thinking -
Step 1 - Shadow Blade base. Step 2 - Replace arms with Dark Eldar venom blades. Step 3 - Replace head with a hoodless one.
How does this sound? | |

| Depends how close you want to get to Drizzt, really.
I'd say the Wood Elf Lord w. Great Weapon model, converted for two scimitars, would be closer, as it would also give Drizzt his bow and is also an excellent centerpiece model.

| Aww yes, a good idea. I didn't even look at wood elves but that is nearly spot on for a Drizzt model! Thanks for the help. Where could I get scimitars? I was going to look but don't have time right now. | |

| Beware of the model looking too WHFB. I've made that mistake before, you need some sort of futurey bitz in my opinion to prevent you just making a new kind of Elf With that in mind, Wych powerswords could be good, and they're easy to get. | |

| Good point. Giving Drizzt his bow may be a bit too WHFB. I could probably give him something such as a back strapped rifle or such for the same feel but more scifi-ish | |

| Yeah that's ideal! "Based on" doesn't have to be "a replica of". | |

| Exactly! A bow would be silly for 40k units as well. The only thing it'd be able to break through is something meh like Guard or Ork armor. | |

| Depends on the fluff you're going for.
Maybe they're power arrows, with energized exploding heads.
Maybe he intentionally carries an archaic weapon for the joy of hunting down his victims after defeating them.
Maybe it's an Exodite weapon taken from a fallen foe he considered worthwhile.
Maybe his Kabal hunts on a Feudal/Feral world and he affects it as a matter of fashion.
Maybe it's just rule of cool.
That said, it all depends on what sort of look you want or don't want for the army. Go with what pleases you.

| Don't mistake my point about modern/futuristic parts for advice not to take a bow! They make bows today that look pretty damn spacey. He's probably such a good shot that guns bore him. Hypodermic arrowheads shot directly into veins and eyes for super-awesome toxin delivery. Make sure you convert a Lhamaean with a spare quiver for that one | |

| That'd work actually. I wasn't thinking about spacey bows | |
