CONFIRMED: Covens Supplement Details!

All the formations have that as well - it's called freakish spectacle

From what we known so far that's a bonus from the detachment. The formations comes with different bonuses

No, Freakish Spectacle applies to both the Detachment and ALL formations in the supplement.

Yes, you can. Or the other way around, for that matter, it just depends on where you stick your Warlord.

I think battleforged DE primary and Coven formation ally would be the thing.

nah, Covens doesnt have troops, so they cant make an allied detach they can come with their cad only if the tourney/opponent allows you to take multiple CADs

Coven Primary Detatchment (Warlord) as a Formation (the Haemie + Talos + Cronos) with an additional Detatchment of Dark Eldar.
So you get "the best" from both worlds. A very resilent Warlord with a majority T7 and a 3+ FnP while rerolling 1s and good Troops from base codex to grab objectives.
Also the Warlord traits are much more useful.

and i like the idea of DSing Taloi most enemy fire will be on them so others can advance

Not sure if they can get the WWP as they have to pick from the Coven Supplement.

They wouldn't be taken as an "Allied Detachment" or a second "CAD". Allied detachment along with CAD are specific FOC configurations (also known as detachments) available to all factions as per the BRB. Any army may include any number of detachments.

It would be perfectly legal to take a CAD with units from the Dark Eldar codex along with the Coven Supplement detachment in the same army. An army like this would have two detachments. Either one could be your primary depending on what HQ you chose as your warlord. Neither would be an "Allied Detachment" or a second "CAD".

Yes.

The option for the WWP is directrly in teh Haemi entry as is the anti-psycher device (str 6 hit to any unit that contains a psycher, no saves allowed). So those are always in.

Can anybody tell me about the thing that gives fleet? I wanted to stick a fearless Haemi to wyches or Incubi! And since they cannot pass on their token any more...

Cronos can only help boost fnp to 4+, meaning that unless you have two other +1s to fnp you're capped at 4

Does Sinriq's sump five poisoned to melee and ranges weapons or just melee?

Quick question for you guys with the supplement in hands: are all the formations using the altered PFP table or can you only access it when you use the supplement's detachment?

Quick Question: Do formations cost more than the units in them?

I was thinking of taking the scalpel (2 units of 3 wracks in venoms that DS first turn). But I'm gonna buy my coven book on my way to the game, and need a finished list sent to my opponent before that.

@miral : it's the Syndriq's Sump. at the beginning of your turn you can choose from fleet, IWND, poisoned 4+ or rampage. It cost like a single Wych

@Izaeus : it give you the poisoned 4+ special rule. So it will work only in melee

@skullmonkeyz : all units from the coven detachment / formations use the supplement PfP table

@MarcoAvrelis : no

One thing I don't think was mentioned before: if the Dark Artisan formation (talos+cronos+hammie) is wiped out it give 3 victory points to the oppenent instead of one

@MarcoAvrelis: no size limit, just "2 units of Wracks". The only restriction is that you must give the venoms to the Wracks as a DT
