Kabal of the Yellow King

Hello! After loooong time playing my World Eaters I have finally developed courage to buy an army that I always wanted, but never had balls to get it.

My goal is to make raid party that looks menacing, but will also stand out among those very dark DE armies we see over tables. Vehicles are a bit rusted and scratched to distinct them from regular Eldar as this bright yellow scheme makes them look similar.
So, my first Dark Eldar models, hope you will like them!

First- small Kabalite Warriors squad:


Vehicles require a lot of work- mostly with details and crew, they will also get bases:














Sorry for the bad photos, I suck at it Army i rather modest now, more Kabalite Warriors and Archon coming net week. I will keep this force vehicle based, as fast and shooty as possible, without beasts, wracks and other Haemonculi creations. I hope that Archon- Yellow King (who watched True Detective will get the reference ) and squad of Incubi will be a centerpiece so you will probably see them soon.

The yellow and black look very striking. I like it.

(Although the vehicles do make me think a little bit of Wolverine)

I have a good feeling about this project log... Will it be the new Archon you use?

Yes, he got this regal look. Most probably i will give him helmeted head, the one from Warriors, with thorn crown.

I'm glad you're planning to give that archon a helmet, his face is infuriating.

These guys look so so good! I love the insectile, poisonous look of them. If I were a wild dog, I would instinctively know not to try eating them, and I can't think of higher praise.

Thank you! My first idea was to name them Kabal of Poisonous Hornet actually, but it was to Eldar-ish and not enough dark. And Yellow King brings some mystery...

Your comments were more than encouraging so I've found some time to finish 10 Kabalites and add some details to Raider:

Love this paint scheme very original, and super striking. The red eye lenses and accent colors look great. Love the spiky tiger striping too... something kinda old school about it which is always a plus! Keep up the great work looking forward to seeing more!

My favourite is the Sybarite with the Agonizer, but all your stuff looks very good.

Always nice to see some unusual paint themes. You really pulled off that yellow. Looks really good and I bet its an real eye catcher if a whole army is painted like that. On a more subtle.note: the few sratches and the battle damage on the vehicles works great as well. Were not as cleanly as our light brethren

Very nice painting. Yellow is such a hard colour to paint (for me at least) so kudos for getting it to look so good and the battle damage works really well.
