| I was contemplating these for myself;
http://privateerpress.com/warmachine/gallery/cryx/warcasters/witch-coven-of-garlghast-the-egregore
I was planning to use the mine as a terrain piece. But even if all you want to do is toss it out it's still about $7.50 per Medusa model at full retail - which seems legit to me ($5 per if you have a use for the mine)

| On a whim i also went over to Reaper and did a quick check for things, as they are I feel the gold standard for affordable meeting quality. I did find this gem;
http://www.reapermini.com/Miniatures/mask/latest/60107#detail/60107_p_2_mj
It basically *is* the GW sculpt - only done better.
You could probably find lots of other decent options on their site.

| This was what I ordered for my Slyth:

I plan to take 5 Slyth, 3-4 Medusae on a Raider or maybe the WWP.

http://www.reapermini.com/Miniatures/Dark%20Heaven%20Legends/latest/03408#detail/03408_w_1 Oh, so many reasons why not... But mainly to spare yourself explaining, 'It's just a random victim, seriously. It might have been a young guy, or an old man, or whatever; it's just by wild random coincidence that it happens to be a naked girl being tortured!'

You should be using a skaven for an Archon Did it I'm making my Grotesques out of island of blood rat ogres and I had four of their handlers over. I made one into a homunculus! I named him brain... The rat ogres/ Grotesques are all named pinky

| If you're not adverse to simple conversions, Medusae are basically a standard kabalite warrior with a brain and some tentacles on top.
Brains and tentacles are pretty easy to sculpt with greenstuff, and if folks are keen, I could probably whip up a simple tutorial.

| The official model has 2 heads, meaning 2 potential models, the parasite can infect anyone, if you think you can sculpt a similarly detailed head, go ahead, but the simplest way is to buy these and put the head on whatever dark eldar model (or anything else if you want) | |

| I've just cut the head off my lhamaean and stuck the spare head on that - was that too decadant for a DE player do you think? | |

| Not owning a GW Medusa, it seems that a Genestealer head might make an adequate 'brain' on top of a Kabalite body? Perhaps with a light touch of green stuff for the tentacles or to add sulci and gyri details to the brain, and a wrack's mask with a single hole for the eye?
(If I remember correctly there are twice as many heads as bodies in the stealer kit, do a swap with a Tyranid playing mate)

| For me, when it came for building court for Archon, there was not other option for me, but to use Medusa from WFB Dark Elves Bloodwrack Shrine. Woman? Check! Boobs? Check! Deadly gaze? Check! Medusa-look? Check! You can see photos in my gallery (in signature). Model is large, but fits just fine on 25mm base. | |
