| There is actual shading on it the lighting just makes it look like natural shadow (which I suppose is the highlighting sort of doing what it is supposed to) but there will be weathering on it too with chipping and rust to make it look all worn down. | |

| Ok so I had nothing really to do today so I decided to try and build one of my Talos from the Corpsethief Claw. As I said previously I am planning on using the classic Talos models as a base as they really appeal to me and one of the reasons I fell in love with Dark Eldar in the first place. I wanted them to have legs, don't ask me why...I just wanted them to be spider/scorpion like in their appearance so I had to make them a little more organic looking. So here is what I came up with: The main body was done through a technique I found on Pinterest which is a combination of PVA and super glue along with all the strands and stuff from putting super glue in water. Gonna be primed soon and hopefully starting the painting over the next couple of days. | |

| Quick update on the Talos, I have just had some spare time to really get in the zone with this model as I have been enjoying it immensely. Still not finished but getting there. | |

| Maybe you could add some green? (inspiration from Boba Fett's armor) I like it though. Also may consider a wash of Nuln Oil if you want it a little darker. | |

| This weeks updates, firstly we have the second Scalpel Squadron unit being partly painted at this stage. Next up we have the bare construction of the second Talos for my Corpsethief Claw. Lastly we have my curious experiment of making Wracks out of Electro-priests as I like some of the elements of the model and was testing to see how effective it would be. This still needs a lot of work, looking at maybe adding some barbed wire in places but not sure as to where. we'll see... | |

| Love the simple Wrack conversions. I'm adding them to my list of awesome conversions to do for my own army! Dunno if I'm putting Wracks in there yet but if I do I'll be looking at those heads for a place to start :-) | |

| Awesome series the stain. At least for every pen and paper RPG fan.
How did you do the rust effect?

| I had found a tutorial online and then tweaked it a little, mainly I darkened it with a bit of earthshade wash.
This was the original base tutorial I used as a base http://www.ogrestronghold.com/forum/index.php?topic=25601.0

| Update! Yeah I know it has been a while, shush you!! I have been mulling around with what to do with my grotesques as I wanted them to look pretty abnormal and well....grotesque. So currently here we have very early WIPs of a grotesque idea, based on Silent Hill Homecoming monster Siam. | |

| I know nothing about Silent Hill, but that looks suitably grotesque to me! | |

| Very nice. And that thing is scary. I've never played Silent Hill but wow that'd be petrifying
