| Not sure if many of you have heard of this, but theres been no mention here so thought I'd flag it up.
There's a new Blood Angels release on its way, and all reports are that they will be on NEW 32mm BASES. Thats a mighty 4mm larger than the standard bases we currently have. A GW staff member has confirmed that from here on, Space Marines at least will be on these new, ever so slightly larger bases. Its unknown if everything will end up on these larger bases, or whether it will just be the Space Marines, but from all reports, all of the Blood Angels infantry on its way within the next month will be 32mm bases. | |

| Marketing attempt to get everyone to rip off their bases for space marine armies? We all know which army is most popular in 40k.... | |

| That would be an obnoxious move if true. | |

| Agreed 100% but despite not liking the GW-hate band wagon that travels loops around the internet I do think they make some pretty obnoxious moves sometimes......... | |

| Arent space marines supposed to be larger then your everyday Ork, Tau, Guardsman and Eldar? If so, the idea of being on slightly larger base could make sence. But if it stated that you would have to strip your old bases and buy knew it would not be fun. | |

| I still haven't gotten around to rebasing my old space marine terminators. Having a dramatically larger rebasing project to not get around to would be irritating. | |

| I've seen a letter posted online somewhere from GW confirming that there won't be a requirement to change base sizes. | |

| It's actually 7mm larger - the stock ones are 25mm or 1 inch | |

| I have no objection to the new base size but I also have no intention of going back and rebasing any of my old models. | |

| GW's official line on bases (currently) is that models should be based on those it came with and only put on the current/newer bases if it doesn't have one. So even if they roll out 32mm bases, there shouldn't be any need to re-base any models - unless, of course, a TO is being an arse about it. | |

| Honestly, I don't care about 4mm more on Space Marine bases. If a model can stand stable on it, a base serves its purpose. The only case where I don't agree with the official basing is the Sslyth. I mean, their bases are twice as wide as the actual models. | |
