RJB bases

I just received a set of Reavers bought off eBay (on sprues but unboxed). They came with old style flying bases, with pegs on the top. From the look of the model, I assume they should have the newer balltop bases. Am I right that's what they come with?

Yes they come with ball tops, normally you get a specially ball to add on the end of the peg (if I remember right).

What did the auctioneer say about the bases and what technical language was used?

I'd be looking for a £3 refund...
