| Do you keep them?
Do they have a value in themselves? I have quite a few older boxes from various armies.
Or am I crazy? | |

| I keep them to store loose bits or other gaming things in. If I don't have a need, I toss them. The older boxes tended to be a bit more durable, so I'm more likely to save them. | |

| I keep the boxes, I have a vague idea of using the pictures or boxes for something in the future. | |

| I use them to stick models to when I am priming them or using the airbrush. Other than that, they go in the bin. | |

| bin, just as soon as everything is off the sprue. I get enough grief for leaving 'boxes of stuff' everywhere without keeping empty ones too. | |

| I used to keep all of my boxes, but now I keep only the largest ones for storage. | |

| Mine often stick around for a long time as bits boxes. (My 3rd ed Dark Eldar battleforce box is still in use holding Dark Eldar bits.) There have been a bunch I had a hard time parting with because I loved the art on the front. But if I kept every box I'd have no room for anything bigger than those boxes, so if they don't serve a purpose they go in the recycling. | |

| I used to keep Games Workshop boxes. I also used to keep empty liquor bottles.
Then one day you realize your addiction surpasses your room to display them.

Then one day you realize your addiction surpasses your room to display them. At some point it becomes embarising to display ether of those. I try to burn them when models are assembled.

| I think your advice is sane and good.
But if you had a box from 25 years ago...would you keep it?
And what will todays boxesbe like in 25 years time??

| It's all about prioritization. There's nothing wrong with collecting boxes or any items, if that's your thing. But if you're keeping them just to keep them, that's when you become a hoarder.
If I had a box from 25 years ago, I'd slap it on ebay and sell it to a collector who wants it to fuel my own hobby.
