Kabalite Project - Green blazes galore!

Well, the cloaks and the icons. Heh. But I can probably use the rest stuff for my Eldar, so it won't go completely to waste.

Really nice job on the Kabalites. I sometimes regret my old school colour scheme when I see all the new stuff. The green looks fantastic.

And thus, I am done with what I vowed I would paint before the end of June.

By now I'm working on the Incubi, they will probably come here soon.

I love it. I just hate the waste dagger they added in front of the armor.

Everybody need a dagger somewhere, no?
But I can agree it's on a sort of improper place.
I'll see if I can finish the two Incubi today, btw.

I couldn't agree more. With how soft the Finecast material is I bet you could easily remove it and with a bit of skill reshape the lost material to look like his armor.

I'm picking one up tonight if all goes right I will be removing the dagger. If so I will post my thoughts on the process and a pic of the end result.

Also, not completely sure about wheather the capes of these should be painted like that. Maybe I should add some symbol, and paint the flames a bit different.

Nah, they are fine.
Check out those cloaks, they have motifs only on edges.

Well, if You want you could make "hot" part of flames yellow (just blending from edge)

Yeah? I'm glad you said that, because I was thinking slightly about taking another scheme... But now I won't.

Here's what I recently painted - a Lancer, a Hot Girl (you'll see what I mean) and a Trueborn.








Found this colours working much better on the cloaks rather than that on the Incubi, will see hoe they work out.

Then, here's some stuff I just had basecoated:



Will be great to paint the Jetfighter, I like the model so much. This scheme should be quite easy on vehicles too.

They look great! On suggesting, and maybe its the photo, but the scourges wings could do with a wash of something dark to bring the feather detail out? Just looks a little flat green at the moment.

(Must resist outrageous prices for Scourges )

Red cloak looks good too, nice and bold which suits Trueborn!

And I tihnk I'll ask for a Razorwing for my birthday, cant wait to see what you do with it!

That's the photo's fault, because the feather textures looks much better in reality than it does there. I wish I could post better pics, but I can't find the camera. Off to paint Incubi, then!

I am not very fond of painting vehicles, I can tell you, but yet it came out well. next to come should be the last scourges of the first squad and the three other trueborn (I'm nearly finished with one).

Thanks! I have one more scourge and trueborn painted too. I will put them up this evening when i'm back from playing with a smaller DE force, can tell you how it went too then. And as you can see in my sig, the first match with them went well! Hydra gauntlets are crazy.

And speaking of hydra gauntlets, do anyone have an idea of how my wyches shoul look? I'm not sure if they should be just like the kabal, or if they should be like the incubi (and have a different scheme to look hired).

Yeah I love hydra gauntlets, never leave home without them!

Really like the look on the Razorwing, (old)Tron inspired I feel.

My Wyches are painted like the Trueborn in my army because I've assumed they are sponsored by the Kabal. That said I am getting tired of painting everything the same so perhaps different would keep things interesting.

I'm thinking abit of switching colours, so that red is the primary colour, with dark green the secondary colour. How does that sound?
