Looking for Vect

Good evening fellow dark ones!

A good while ago, i have seen a blog (i guess it was linked on BoLS) where someone build a vect raider. I recall that he used some reaper mini for a slave and it was done in only new parts.

I have tried to google-find it, but have failed sofar.

Does anyone know what i am talking about and might have a link f0r me?

That Vect is working the 'space pimp' angle - but he looks way wussier than classic Vect.

I gotta say, the Vect from Dakkadakka looks way too crowded. The first one... The Dais looks alright, but using multiple kits made it lose its streamlined appearance. Maybe with some more greenstuff it'd look awesome, but at the moment it looks too much like it's simply had extra sections bolted on.

I sgree with aroshamash on both counts. The one from dakka looks like the builder wanted to fit as many nude models on as physically possible and the first one doesnt look right with the sails on the side. Its to obvious that they are sails.

i actually like the dias on the first one, just not swung on the aspimpadel vect.

slaves are cool and should be in there, but way too much focus on chilling out and enjoying the view to be the personal war engine of the most cunning DE.

i think the sails on the side look cool as they are not in the center... where else to put them...... plus they look more like jabba's skiff that way

Hey, Mace from ADHD Gaming here, and do I have a story for you folks. The idea behind this came out as the DE were in pre-order status, and I ordered just under $1000 worth of DE seeing as taxes had just came back for me. A"friend" of mine offered to build me a Dias using bits we had, and this started to come out of it. I agree completely that it looks TOO kit bashed, that the girl leaning on him while he drinks doesn't fit the aggressive nature of Vect, and that it doesn't look as stream lined as the other DE craft. On a side note though, I do think the raiders and ravagers are too skinny, and the newer FW models that have been previewed are of much better size.

Here's where this story gets crazy though. He all of a sudden shows up to our FLGS with like 6 naked chicks on the Dias. I got annoyed at first, since I never wanted that and kind of felt that they were a little tacky but since he was doing the conversion for free, I let him talk me into at least one because he INSISTED it must be there. There is a conversion he did for Vect on foot that looked much better than the one on the Dias also, since it was made from kit bashing Incubi and other DE bits keeping in line with the DE line of models. It looked much more sinister and down to kill than lazy Vect on his Jaba Barge. He did all of this in less than two days, and when it came time to paint it, he insisted that I pay him for his time. Seeing as how he busted his butt, I offered him $50 and he could keep all the bits he didn't use. He refused, saying I owed him atleast $100, plus store credit for our FLGS. I got pisses, and let the crap sit on my shelf unpainted for 3 weeks out of silent protest. He started whining about how BoLS wanted to do an article on it, and how it needed to be painted, so I finally got him to buy it from me and I washed my hands from any of his deals from that point out. He added more slave girls after that, added MORE sails >.< and he then paid somebody else to paint it. That never happened though, since the guy got half way done painting and then Mr. Crazy Deals decided he didn't want to pay the agreed upon price. When he tried to not pay AT ALL, the dude covered the whole model in black ink and gave it back to him. The end.
