Ok so I was wondering what you guys think of a dark eldar gunline idea I had. So basically it's a huge number of true born kitted out as necessary and put on a sky shield land pad. Everything on the pad has a 3++ so I had the crazy idea that a list like that could be , not competitive but at least really fun

While the sides are up, a skyshield gives only a 4++ save, not a 3++.
Beyond that, sounds like an interesting idea to try out. As you said, not necessarily competitive but would be interesting to try out from time to time.

You could probably kit out some scourges for this idea, since they aren't going anywhere you could get some nice salvo shots or dark lances, without the penalization of snap shots
