| Saw someone try something similar to this list on YouTube and thought I'd write my own version. The ldea is to deep strike in n blow the hell out of stuff without really getting into combat.
Here it is......
Duke sliscus
4 Trueborn 4 blasters Venom Splinter cannon Night shields
9 trueborn 7 shardcarbine 2 splinter cannons Raider Flicker fields Splinter racks Night shields
9 wyches x2 Haywire grenades Raider Flicker fields Night shields
5 warriors x3 Blaster Venom Splinter cannon
5 scourges x2 2 haywire blasters Solarite
Ravager x3 Flicker fields Night shields
Total 1992pts

| Except that stuff count's as having moved at cruising speed when it arrives, so your dudes can't shoot out when they deepstrike in. | |

But you can get out of your raider (remember deepstrike counts as moving at crusing, and dukes DS doesnt have the same conditions as retrofire jets) and still fire. I would drop the scourges and the splinter racks, use those points for some Sybarites w/ blast pistols (normally I wouldnt say that, but Ill get to that in a bit) Now wych units really dont work well if you plan on DS. They cant assault when they land, and I doubt their raider will make it past the turn they enter. Drop them for more warrior squads. Ok, so Blast pistols. Normally they are a terrible idea, but the point is here you are deepstriking, so the distance is random. If you happen to get closer, you need more AT firepower to pop open vehicles so your venoms can chew up the infantry inside, saving the unit. for 25 pts (overcosted... I know) you get not only an extra pip of leadership, but an extra short range blaster, which might save your butt one day. It might be expensive, but this is the only time I would consider it. if you have any remaining points, you might want to consider shock prows, so that you can ram with your raiders if you have too | |

| Ok so after reading what u guys/girls have put and looking at the rule book and face palming after that mess up with the splinter racks this is what I have now....

Just thinking if I dropped the sybarites n blast pistols that give me 125pts to play with.
On another note and forgive me if this has been asked before and it sounds like a dumb question but does the dukes serpents venom work for any transports that are bought for his unit?

Just field em all with carbines. You'll -never- be stationary so taking the SCs would be like 10 pts for 2 more shots. Discarding the range advantage since you'll ideally be within 18" anyway. Also I'm on the fence whether NS on Ravs are worth it at all. Definitely drop the BP Sybarites. You could even get another unit out of the points saved these ways. Good luck. | |

Idk, I am a big supporter of having max troop choice, but is it really worth the 5 blaster shots? Yes they are short ranged, but at this point he is randomizing his drop distance, and if he scatters into range, that is a huge bonus. That being said if you drop the BP Sybarites, nightshields, and cannons, he could fit in another squad of 4 blasterborn in a venom. That would be ok imho | |
