So like the title says I played for the first time in 8 months and played 1500 points against my buddies necrons decurion. I ran 4 kabalite warrior gunboats
2 ravagers
Haywire scourges
and the dark artisian formation
He fielded
the harvest swarm ( spider, 3 wraiths and 9 scarab bases)
2 15 man warrior units
a 5 man tesla immortals
5 deathmark
an overlord and 5 lychguard
and 3 tomb blades
and an monolith
So he deployed first and went first.hammer and anvil. he deployed all spread out, from left to right he had tomb blades, warriors, immortals, warriors, and then his harvest swarm. With his overlords, lychguard, monolith, and death marks in reserve.
I counter deployed in one corner of the board next to his tomb blades. With the intention of sweeping his units one at a time. After turn one he put 1 hull point on two raiders while moving his others units forward. In retaliation I wiped out his tomb blades, and killed all but three of one unit of warriors, and two immortals.
turn two he managed one hull point on a raider and one on a ravager. I retaliated by wiping the rest of the warriors and finishing off the immortals, I started moving my ravagers for a super awesome maneuver.
Turn three was a whole lot of just moving around and our dice rolls were minor a few bodies and nothing else. I killed his spider with dark lance shots. I moved my ravagers right next the his wraiths and scarabs to get his attention and then turbo boosted away from the rest of my army. Towards the rights side of the board.
Turn four he deep struck his monolith next to my four raiders and popped one and drug his other unit of warriors over there. he managed to assault my ravagers with his wraiths and destroy one and reducing the other to 1 hull point with his scarabs. In retaliation I deep struck my dark artisan formation and started shooting his scarabs with splinter cannon and a liquifier gun. Killed all but three of nine bases. I also placed my scourges next to his monolith and sweated bullets while I rolled those dice. I destroyed his monolith in one turn.
The rest of the game was my raiders and kabalite warriors killing the last warriors and rushing around grabbing objectives. And my dark artisan formation finishing off scarabs and getting tied up with wraiths.
I won 5 to 4 victory points but he felt it was an utter defeat.
