New to Warhammer, I want to see if I calculated point totals correct

Ok, lets say I bought the Battleforce and one Archon.

My Kabalites have 107 points total?
7 normal kabalites, 3 modified: one has a blaster and one has a dark lance. The last is a sybarite with no modifications.
63 points for the normals combined
Is this correct?

I know I probably messed up the numbers, but I'm going on anyway just in case.

For my wyches 9 of them are normal. one is a hekatrix with a blast pistol.
110 total

Raider, normal.

3 reavers, one of which has a blaster upgrade. 81 total?

Finally a boring plain archon

Total of 433?

I'm not really looking for critique on this list as i'm sure it isn't the smartest, or very good at all. I am just trying to understand how to add point totals. If you want to criticize it go ahead I suppose.

One question though, when I add wargear(say maybe upgrading that kabalite with a blaster) would I do the cost of the unit an the upgrade cost or just the upgrade costs? (just the weapon number for the kab + weapon or would it be a combined amount because of the added weapon?) Is this the same for upgrading units?

taking your kabalite unit, an example of the way i work through it:

kabalite unit.

10 warriors = 10x A-points
replace rifle with dark lance = + B-points
replace rifle with blaster = + C-points
upgrade a warrior to sybarite = + D-points

this gives your 7 basic pointy ears, 1 with a dark lance, 1 with a blaster and 1 sybarite for a ttoal of a 10-elf squad.

total points = (10xA)+B+C+D

total = 140 points.

34 for the kab and dark lance, 24 for the kab and blaster, and 10 for the sybarite. Is this correct?

your basic kabalites are correctly costed, as are your specialists. however you need to pay the intial points for a warrior and then the upgrade cost for the sybarite.

over and above that though, your arithmetic is incorrect - the points you list give a total of 131, not 107 (isuspect you missed off the blaster wielder).

Yes buy the basic men first then apply the upgrades - otherwise you'll go mad!
