The grots don't have any AP but they have far greater weight of attacks. Also you don't want to kill the unit in 1 turn of combat, as otherwise your c unit will be sitting in the range of your opponents full army in their turn. Incubi will mince marines in one round but then die to shooting the very next turn. Grots will usually take the two rounds and be out of combat in your turn, and are also a lot tougher so can take the return punches and shooting if they manage to win in round one

15pts if FAR too expensive for that IMO. A 4+ junk is still really good and the points can be better spent elsewhere
Please enlighten me then, where it is a better investment. I agree that NS are not the best investement on every single model, but on Raiders with Kabalites inside? That's a bit... dunno, bad advice? We are a super paper-mache army, any way of allowing our little guys to survive a bit longer is good, especially since you already pay 15 for Twin-Linked. I can't remember a single game where NS on Raiders with Kabalites inside could be invested elswhere for better effect.

Really? Is that how you want to have this discussion? I would rather not. I posted nothing but my opinion in a perfectly civil manner. I have no problem with you disagreeing with me, but to be rude is not cool.

I am not trying to be rude, just asking for some crunch explanation to why you think it's a bad idea. I am not a native english speaker, if I somehow sounded intrusive or something, I am sorry.

That's ok. No problem then. I am sorry for taking offence if none was meant Smile

I agree that night shields are better on the raiders with warriors, but dropping them all from his list above would save you 75 pts, which with a few other savings (shadow field for example) could go towards a unit of scourges (or a lance ravager) for some much needed anti tank. The problem is that the razorwings don't come in till turn two at the earliest, so some on board tank bustin is needed turn one (IMO)I find that there is so much ignores cover played around here nowadays (of course this is meta dependent) that maybe the value of night shields are devalued for me more than for some other areas.

Maybe you have a lot of Tau in your group, they are the biggest source of high range IC weapons. Other armies are more abundant in flamers, but they have to come near to the Raiders to use that, and that is not easy, if you position them the right way, so indeed, that is mostly a meta choice, however, arbitraly, NS on Raiders is a good way in most cases.
