Grotesque spam

This escalation league has me thinking about multiple unit spam. In that regard, what do folks think about spamming grots left and right? It's 105 pts for a 3 man unit. 125 with a scissorhand abby. 340 pts for a grotesquerie (scissorhands all around).

You'd still be able to threaten vehicles up to AV 14. I'm just not sure if it's enough units to make the MSU concept still work.

Why scissor hands?

Because they're the best weapon option for Haemonculi and aberrations. It allows both to be an actual threat to walkers and heavily armored elites, and allows the Abbies to threaten Land Raiders.

I am constructing my army to compete in tournaments at 1850pts with 4 units of grotesques. I think they are hard to get rid of even 3 man squads and hit rather hard as well. I would definitely use the coven supplement to spam grites questions and add shooting from eldar

I am also thinking of running two Grotesqueries with the same Abbie + Scissorhand configuration. The Latest Experiment bonuses are great as even the "bad" ones (Rage, Shred, Fleet) are still useful. Grots are the one DE unit that always perform well and do what they're supposed to do. Not sure I can think of any other DE unit, aside from Venoms that I can say that about.
