| Voidlance/mine weapons should be D. Dais should have 3 void lances. 13/13/10 5 hp.
Vect should have the ability to reroll reserve rolls, or give +/-1. Also reroll d3s from tactical cards.

| I feel if it was a Dais, then hopefully it would employ things, I feel like AV14 with a 13 on the rear would be the best, Elite Personal Incubi on the side, with a special rule perhaps that if the vehicle is in an assault, it has retaliation? The incubi can fight from the side, a hit and run rule too maybe? Although I'd hope unique weapons to the Dais would be put in as well, I recall from Dawn of War: Soulstorm, though a game, the ability called 'Dark Scythe' Would do a forward cone of complete destruction, I'd hope that maybe a unique weapon of such a thing would be there? Although in game, Vect would fire purple lightning from his hand onto the crafts frontal Dark Lance and unleashed it, but again, Vect also 'dies' in game. So idk. But still I'd hope it'd have some things. | |

I read that he likes to employ doppelgangers. Special rule: "The last laugh" What about if when he dies, you roll a die. On a 4+ he becomes one of the other DE characters on the table. Might encourage us to make a few more sybarites. HA! That'd be such a troll move. Thought you had slay the warlord? Nah-ah-ah ! Good point on the doppelgangers, fluff-wise he's an absolute monster; in charge for 6,000 years, able to use the stolen suns to destroy enemies and possessed of a vast army of Castigators... He's a Lord of War!

| Lets be realistic... judging by the way GW treats us:
Vect: Chariot, fast, open topped AV11/11/10 3 Disintegrators 4A WS7 BS7 S3
Special rules:
If he is your Warlord you get Labyrinthine Cunning
If he gets killed roll a D6. on the Roll of 4+ he was not the real vect and your opponent does not get a VP. Model is still removed.

| I'm really loving this too much, this is amazing stuff, great work!!! I was curious about one thing though, is it possible at all to do this well without the (Craftworld) Eldar? I have a 1750pts tournament coming up soon but unfortunately it is very limited in terms of allies etc, they are actually not permitted. I can however take harlies with my dark eldar. Any ideas on any ways i could possibly make this work? It's going to be a pretty high end event with great players. Any help/ideas are greatly appreciated.
Freaky fan. | |

| Heh pick Corsairs. From a quick read it sounds like the best of both worlds minus the wraithknight. | |

| The trouble with designing rules for Vect in the current book is that he should be based on an Archon, but Archons are so bloody abysmal. So, do you make a character who'd basically end up as the only HQ anyone ever uses? Or, do you make him suitably crappy/overpriced so as not to out-compete our pitiful excuses for HQ choices? This is an honest question, btw, and not just a rant. Points aside, I'd probably use his 5th edition incarnation, with some modifications: - Eternal Warrior - His weapon stays AP2 - Possibly give him a 4++ or 5++ for when his Shadowfield fails. - Let him pick his Warlord Trait. - Some sort of army-wide rule. Maybe let t be Night Fight for the entirety of the game (as it takes the greatest mind in all of Commerragh to understand that you don't have to launch a night attack 30 seconds before sunrise ), or something like that. I guess I just think there should be something more than '4+ Seize' to indicate that your army is being led by a tactical genius. - lament.config wrote:

It also sounds like they'll be able to out-Dark Eldar Dark Eldar. Amongst other things, they can come close to making The Duke with a Corsair Prince, and have better drugs than us.

| The easiest way to make Vect worthwhile as a HQ is not to make him a CC character. Try to go the route of imperial HQs and let him hand out buffs to the whole army. | |

Aren't most Imperial HQs also good in combat though?
