| Tonight! The spirit series will take inspiration from the freak show style of play. I am playing against Shawn and his space wolves. New wulfen and all... I am expecting a knight flier some t wolves and other space wolves stuff! Tactically , I am curious to use the list that I have put together and I would love your feedback.
Harlequins - Heroes Path Solitaire - hwg Death jester - stock Shadow seer - mask, level 2, hwg
Dark Eldar- Archon - shadow field , armour of misery, haywires, wwp
8 kabalites - dark lance raider 5 kabalites blaster - dark lance raider
3 dual cannon venoms (for the heroes)
2 triple lance ravagers
Coven Formation Grotesquerie 2 units of 3 grotesques in raiders Hemaonculus leader
Eldar Allied Detachment Farseer, spear
3 wind riders
5 warp spiders with exarch
2 war walkers with scatter laser / bright lance
So! Looking forward to seeing how this works. I don't have any reserve manipulation so that will be interesting, is it recommended to keep things In reserve or out of los?
Comment down below, I am going to miss my corsairs! But I do like the grotesquerie.

| The battle from the game above is on YouTube now, check out the report.
REMATCH time! 2000pointz, I am running a similar list to above but tweaking a few things, I am loving the dynamic of all the forces of the Eldar together. I am slowly appreciating the heroes path more and more. We shall see! I hope to use the solitaire more this time.

| My latest game with the one spirit continues to work on the freak show side of our tactics! I played against the dreaded ravenwing. Shriek was amazing and the leadership de buffs really helped!
I'm LOVING the harlequins and I highly recommend the heroes path to everyone.

| Ok so here is my First real tactical break down of the one spirit series and the units that I have used so far with each section:
The Dark Eldar-
The Succubus - This has been a go to when it comes to a cheap HQ. The only reason I take this over the lhamean is because I want to take the armour of misery. If I am not working with the freakshow style of army, then I am running a cheapo lhamean or medusae.
The Archon - I LOVE archons... sadly they have been relegated to the bottom rung, only really being used as a WWP caddie in some lists. When I take an archon, I run them with some hitting power... sadly he usually dies to the first failed shadow field save... but such is the arrogant life of the archon.
Kabalite Warriors - These guys are awesome, i would take them every day all day long. Although for 2 points more, corsair reavers do the same, and have grenades, and a special movement after shooting... but oh well!
Scourge - I love the winged buggers. They have access to cheap AT and they are more versatile than the ravager for their cost... they die super fast, but so does everything else in our army... and 4 haywire blasters or heat lances are nothing to scoff at! deep strike in to get the best results, or move them in from reserve if you know your opponent is going to be advancing on your position.
The Fast Attack slots. With the one spirit series, I am finding that I am using the other fast attack slots as spaces for empty venoms and raiders! They make for great taxi service for the units in my allied armies... taking harlequins, coven, eldar units and corsairs alike into battle!
Ravager - The workhorse AT in the army... they are overcosted for what they do but I love them... its hard to leave home without at least 2 of the lance totting ones!
The Eldar- Farseer - In a freakshow spirit list, this is your go - to... great psyker and one of the only ones that you can rely on even if you are only taking the one. Usually taken on a bike, but I dont mind either way! On foot he can hang out in a transport or near the dark eldar character with the armour of misery to shriek some folks.
Autarch - my go to choice in a generic spirit list... the reserve manipulation is fantastic! And he is no chump in a challenge with the shard of anaris... best bet is to put him in a unit with grotesques and watch him tear some crap up.
Jetbikes - go to eldar troops, cheap, fast, obsec. I dont own any scattbikes... but ive heard they are good.
Warp Spiders - These guys are awesome! they are cheap, fast and really killy. I only own one unit of them but if I could i would run three units in an aspect host to make them nasty.
Shadow Spectres - Forgeworld! I love these guys in a freakshow list... forcing the enemy to take any leadership based test on an extra dice... and using the two highest... if you want to make the enemy run, combined with some leadership de buffs from the coven or the armour of mysery, or the mask of secrets... or some malevolents... you name it, nasty stuff this.
War Walkers - My go to heavy support choice, usually run them with some bright lances and scatter lasers! But I love that they can outflank and really provide me with some additional tactical choices in game. they are fast, sneaky and pack a punch, also quite good against light fliers and the rear of tanks if they get in behind.
The Coven-
Heamonculus - I take him as a cheap, fearless and -1 leadership upgrade to a unit. Usually run him close to the folks with the armour of misery.
Grotesques - These are AMAZING I would always run these, in a grotesquerie they are stupid good and used well they hit like a brick house. Always give raider!
More to come! | |

| Latest game was against the iron hands . https://youtu.be/zqL6LYM9uh0 It was a full game and once again I used elements form all shards of the spirit.
I love the feel for the army and the synergy that all the units bring to the table.
Watching my opponents in disbelief about the use of leadership as a weapon is my greatest happy place. The biggest issue is lack of anti tank,..

| Agreed on all counts. I was just commenting in my own army list thread about cheese how my death jester ran 500 points of wolves off the table today, including warlord and two rune priests.
Not to be a basic white girl( I'm a man) but Skari is my spirit animal lol

| Hey Skari! Love ur work! I know you love your grotesqueries, like every archon should. What do you think of units of 4 or even one of 4 + characters and one of 5 in raiders at higher pts games? Today they just walked through my buddies SM Gladlius at 2000pts. Only lost 3 of the 9 grots and ripped the heart out of his army! We were quite impressed! | |

| Played a game tonight, faced 70 marines with my 1500pt Freakshow list , the army dismembered the enemy army... It was a bloodbath. The Freakshow is gaining a reputation! I might need to tone it down in on of my local gaming groups to make sure that people are excited to play against me I think... | |

| I've been struggling with the overly competitive nature of the freakshow myself. Especially with the 2++ rerollable deathstar format. It tears through whole armies. (Admittedly it needs to be as it is practically the entire army by itself. | |

| A cast of players (though the core is unimportant I just love death is not enough as well as the protection offered to a canny player by veil of tears.) With Eldrad, archon w/SF, void dreamer w/SF, corsair prince w/SF.
Eldrad has 4 rolls on fate to try and get fortune. If not you're still able to roll the shadowseer on telepathy to hope for invisibility or if nothing else veil of tears.
Something I really only recommend for a tournament, put the archon or void dreamer up front and proceed to LoS every wound onto the other one as you will need to roll a 1 to take the wound on the first character followed by 2 more ones in order to fail. And the other one you're Los'ing too still has a 2++ rerollable.
There's a little more in depth to it then that but in the end it will just absorb unreasonable levels of fire while giving out -4 ld minimum for psychic shrieks, mind war, mirror of minds, pinning, death is not enough... and at the same time puts out some shooting, kills things in close combat with ease and just generally causes massive problems. I have been practicing for a tournament with it at 1250 and it has single handedly tabled my opponent.

| Honestly a little too nasty for a regular game. Run 2 squads of terminators off the nearest table edge to kill them and your opponent won't be clapping you on the back for getting around "and they shall know no rules" lol | |

| 2++ with fortune has been awesome since 6th,
Ok. I have been able to use the harlequins more and more, I love the dynamic of the army and frankly their elite scalpel like usage. I would recommend them in any alldar force.

| Wraithknights actually take some forethought and tactics to use in the current meta, simply because every single competitive player asks themselves this question when forming a new list, "Ok, how can I kill a wraithknight?" At Adepticon, I played against almost identical drop pod grav spam armies with the white scars ignores cover item on the grav cannons(which can kill a wraithknight in one volley). Both games I had to reserve my wraithknight so he wouldn't get instagibbed. I didn't lose him either game, though in the first game, he didn't come on till turn 3 or 4. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~To be honest, I'm on the fence as to whether they're worth it or not since they give out VPs for losing wounds. On one hand, it shapes the meta we're playing against, so you know where a fair number of points any given faction will have to spend to counter a wraithknight. That allows you to build the rest of your list around dealing with those counters, and if they DON'T bring said counters, your wraithknight runs amok. It's sort of like the nuclear option these days. You should probably bring it just to wave it at your opponents and get them to do what you want, but you may very well not want to use it. P.S. I enjoy the batreps man! Stay classy! | |

| Well the tournament is tomorrow and the TO just "remembered" that you can only use one source despite the fact I've been discussing with him and practicing with my list for 3 months... we're pretty sure someone complained about my list so he comped me out... well pure eldar cheese now :/ seer council scat bikes it is.... yay? | |

| Yeah... Single CAD id run Eldar to stomp face or msu dark Eldar to frustrate people. As for the WK. yes grav is everywhere. So I actually used him as bait I was expecting him to die ... But my opponent was running 9 drop pods... 2 from a SkyHammer and 7 from blackmane and his space wolves ... All comming in on turn one! So I needed to null deploy. Warp spiders did the trick and blinked away to survive but the wraithknight took like 16 wounds against grav... And I had a night fight cover save... And the. Only made one FNP taking 6 wounds. So! He died but it was a worthwhile death because my opponent deployed very aggressively and I made sure to stack all the objectives in the other side of the table... So then he was out of position for the objectives, and my autarch did the trick my entire army with harlequins, shriek, and what not came in turn two and overloaded one flank! Took me a few turns but I methodically dismembered his army. | |
