I'd stand outside the tournament hall with a sign that said "F THIS TOURNAMENT!" Altering your tournament rules the day before a tournament is the lowest form of scummery there is. If he is a store owner and you purchase things from his store, I'd threaten to stop doing so, and follow through with it if he doesn't back down. I had a situation come up like this once, where they didn't say they were banning large fortifications from a tournament. I bought an aquila macro cannon from the store that I was planning on playing it in, talking to the TO about playing it in the tournament. Come tournament day, a few players complained about it and the TO began to talk to me like he was going to try to ban it from the tournament. I stopped him dead in his tracks, "Wait, you're not trying to tell me that you sold me this 120 dollar model that I specifically talked to you about playing in your tournament, while it's a perfectly legal model to play both in basic rules and your house rules, after I travelled an hour to come to your tournament, and you're -actually- considering telling me I can't play it? Are you out of your mind?" I played my fortification. 2 players quit and walked out because they didn't get their way, and I won the tournament.

| Ok. Back on topic Went to a tournament today. Single Eldar CAD and a Dark Eldar allied detachment. The wraithknight was awesome. I had a lot of fun running him! The shield and D weapon sword was pretty snazzy and really helped keep some nasty enemies at bay. I also ran grotesques for the first time in for ever and I had forgotten how tough they are! With an autarch with the shard of Anaris to make them fearless and the succubus with her archite glaive. I find that the dark Eldar And Eldar work so well together! I am loving playing them all with one vision in mind. | |

| So! Have had a few more games.
I have had a hard time making a list with no wraithknight .. It's just so good! It fills so many holes in the dark Eldar army list.
I have been using the cast of players more than. The heroes path ... I like the wounds. I have attached an autarch for the 3 + armour and the archon with a portal.
I finally got a unit of scatter jetbikes. I now want to make some corsair jetbikes.
I have not been using the coven because we have been playing with a three detachment limit and the Eldar allow me to take a wraithknight, the d weapon in combat and the stomps has really helped against some nastier Death Star lists but I have to be careful of the grav.,.
I am excited about the death from the skies supplement. I think a few razor wings will make a regular appearance in my list and if I have air superiority that will help with reserves so I won't need the autarch !
I have two talos... I need three more for thebcorpsthief should I!?
Let me know what you think! Have you been mixing out kin ?

| With the new FAQ, will you be going back to the Hero's Path? Without an opentop transport I imagine the Cast will be significantly less effective.
And the CTC really eats into your points. From a completely selfish point of view I would prefer you continue making your BatReps about tactical small squads rather than the big deathstar rolling face.

| So cool to see you running Freakshows more! (I was also super stoked to see your opinions on what was good match up so close with what I'm doing--I hate finding out I'm screwing something up.)
I don't run Warp Spiders. You think they're worth the investment?
I'm putting some notes down for a new Freakshow article, in light of the FAQ coming out. (Part XX: Freakuently Asked Questions) As soon as we get a finalized copy I'll start more serious work on it, but until then, do you have any thoughts on how it affects Freakshows?
I'm thinking of adding a Corsair Prince to my list, probably in a bike-riding Seer Council, in order to get the Armor of Misery (or Mask of Secrets) on the table without having to fight the transport changes. (Since the Armor and Mask don't work from within a vehicle any longer. Covens Formations will still be okay, since the vehicle generates its own bubble.)

| Thanks for the comment. Yes, warp spiders are worth every penny. The new FAQ? Yes it affects the freak... But I've been running a cast of players out of a wwp so not in a vehicle, the change won't affect me much .
