@Jimsolo , you're a legend! Why I never thought of Harlequin's eludes me, but I'm so happy you reminded me of them.
Harlequin shuriken pistols are a perfect idea, and I think converting an Embrace or Kiss could yield some interesting results for Corsair specific gear. Furthermore, I reckon with a little effort, a Harlequin's body and legs are in an ideal pose for a jet pack infantryman with a huge gun. I think I might use some to create Jet Pack Ghostwalkers or Balestrikes with Sniper rifles, or Lances/EMLs respectively, flitting in and out of cover to shoot. I've also consider the sheathed pistol. It looks a little bit big and cumbersome for the little Eldarlings, but I might find some use for it on squad leaders/models holding a close combat weapon.
@CurstAlchemist , I have considered the storm guardians kit, but to be honest the at least half of the kit would serve no purpose for me
. As I don't really want many close combat weapons on the corsairs and I dislike the heads, we're left with just the guns... The pistols and fusion gun from the kit are
ideal, even more so than the Harlequin pistols etc, but with such prices... (GW products for Pacific countries is atrociously priced) and knowing the rest of the bits goes to waste as I'll never use them... Sadly, bits sites also don't tend to sell things like resin upgrade packs such as storm guardians. Thanks for the reply anyway though
I'm thinking I'll soon have my first batch of Reavers ready if all goes according to plan
.
I'm also brainstorming ways to differentiate Dark Eldar Reaver Jetbikes and Cloud Dancers, as I'll be using the former's frame to create the latter. So far, I've removed the vertical spike that normally sits behind the rider, creating a nice flat panel to add... something... when I figure out what that something is I'll let you know lol. I've also used a scourge head for the rider, some Chaos Terminator spikes along the engine sides and switched out the Splinter Rifle for a Dark Lance - I definitely should have magnetised the weapon though, as there's at least 3 really good (in my opinion) options for the Cloud Dancer to take.
Does anyone have any ideas for further setting Cloud Dancers apart from Reaver Jetbikes? I don't mind if they are a bit too chaosy with spikes etc. The more grim and gory, the better
