| Forgive my ignorance, but as I have not played many games I was wondering:
Do splinter weapons (poisoned) count as poisoned in Close combat or are combat wounds determined by the warrior wielding it and not the weapon itself?
I am battling with the particular wording and have the rulebook but to a noob like myself it is confusing. I ASSUME kabalites in close combat dont always hit on 4+ due to poison as this would make them quite adept at both shooting and assault. Dark Eldar are good but not that good?

| Page 25 of the Codex, bottom right corner under "poisoned shooting weapons" contains the rule in question.
Short answer - no, they don't work in h2h combat, only for shooting.
