Help Finishing a List - 1850

Hi guys,

I'm having a little trouble deciding how to finish out my list, I'm happy with the general theme, but can't decide how to finish it off & have come up with a few variations:

2 x 2 x Grots + Aberrations, Scissorhands

How useful are WWP's here? Since I can't assault from DS, is it better to drop them, save the 70 points & upgrade the lone Venom to another Scourge squad & 15 points of upgrades?

Option C, drop the WWP's, Venom, VM & the HWG which is enough for a Lance/Canon Razorwing instead?

I always start my Grots on the table, thwn simply go flat out towards the enemy. So youd better swap the lances to the sails, as you will wether go flat out or jink or dead.
Usually I reinforce the Grotesquerie with deep striking Dark Artisan. Just drop it between 2 squads for better FNP and charge next turn. Works great.

So you'd lean towards dropping the WWP's?

I did consider a Dark Artisan, however since it's 290 before any upgrades at all, it would take a major re-shuffle of the list. Out of pure interest, what would you suggest dropping to fit it?

I'd suggested to drop something fro Anti-tank section depending on what opponents do you expect to meet. Since grots can deal with most of light-medium vehicles and ravagers offer equally poor result at any target (about 30% per shot) and they cost like a heavy equipped Wraithknight, the choice is obvious.
In good hands such a list can deal easyly with 1 Imperial Knight, if you face more than one, just score the objectives (Supremacy deck needed).

That Kabal name immediately evokes an image of a prostitute with gonorrhea. I'd personally change it, but it's up to you!

As for your list, I agree with Seraff that you should start them on the table. I don't think you should lose any anti-tank though. I'd drop the WWPs, 1 unit of warriors, and a couple other minor things to rearrange your army into 2 CADs + grotequerie that looked like this:

TOTAL: 1849

This basically swaps out 1 unit of warriors and the WWPs, with a few unnecessary upgrades for 3 units of cluster caltrop reavers. I'd go with the vexator mask on the haemonculus over the scissorhand because even with the scissorhand, the haemy isn't that good in CC. By using the vexator to make your opponent go at -5 initiative, that gives your grots an opportunity to wipe out the unit and spill attacks over to the character you're in a challenge with, ideally killing him before you have to worry about him hitting you.

It's purely meant to be sensational & is in keeping with my fluff.

Thank you for your comments, I see a lot of merit in potentially bringing the Reavers. Trading ob-sec for the ability to clear objectives, for the remaining ob-sec to score.

1 Lhamaean is hardly the worst tax.

Looking forward to converting my 1st Grots soon & may now actually grab a start collecting box, only the Archon would be tax & with 20% off, a nice bargain, all growing towards something very similar to this.

Would only leave the whole Grotesquerie, another Ravager + a Venom & I pretty much would be set, sadly painting has barely started, I have bought paints tho, so moving forward lol.
