| Hi guys, as some of you maybe noticed long time passed since last time I posted on the forum, and actually long time passed since last time I played a game of WH40k. The current situation of draft FAQ spoiled the majority of my lists, and the current situation of the DE codex was not really inviting me to try new (weak) DE lists, but I'm missing the hobby and I decided to try something new.
I've always been charmed by the corsair codex, which looks fluffy and funny, so I decided to give it a try. This is actually my first list with the eldar corsair codex, so your advice will be reeeeeally apreciated. Here we are:
+CORSAIR RAIDING COMPANY:
--HQ Prince with jetpack, shadowfield and void sabre (reaper of the outer dark, goes with voidstorm)
--SKY BURNERS COTERIE Baron with jetpack, shimmershield and venom blade (goes with voidstorm) 5 Voidstorm with jetpacks, flamer and 4 venom blades (rage) 2x5 Reavers with two blasters in Venom with double cannon, void burners and kinetic shroud
--TITAN BREAKER COTERIE Baron with bike and shimmershield (goes with dark lances) 2x3 Cloud Dancers with 3 scatter lasers 3 Cloud Dancers with 3 dark lances 2 Vypers with splinter cannon and EML
+DARK ARTISAN Haemonculus with WWP Talos with ichor injector Chronos with spirit probe
TOTAL. 1500 pts
The idea is to have manly a army that can hide and shoot from distance (bikes, vypers), with the possibility of some effective deep strike (Reavers with 2 blasters, dark artisan). I don't know if voidstorm can be really effective in cc, but I would like to give a chance to a fighting prince.
I have many doubt about this list, and I would like to have your opinion about some point in particular: - Is the list to low on AT? - Is the model count too low? - Is the DA worth if the haemonculus is not the warlord? - Are voidstorms effective?

| Coteries are limited to 3 troop choices.
- Is the list to low on AT? Yes.
- Is the model count too low? Yes.
- Is the DA worth if the haemonculus is not the warlord? Yes, provided you either set the objectives in such away as to be able to easily camp 2 or
- Are voidstorms effective? Yes, but expensive and I don't see why your flamer body doesn't have a venom blade.
I'd swap a splinter cannon from each venom for a scatter laser to start and would rework the whole idea as dark lance bikes are woefully points inefficient compared to balestrikes, and small amounts of scat bikes would frankly be better off with splinter cannons with the points you save.

Shifting shifting scatter lasers from bikes to venoms and vice versa will just save a few points and anyway I rpefer to have the venom full AI (other than that, I don't want to remodel all the venoms XD ), so I'm not convinced on it. I see your point on balestrikes.

Why do you want a full 2/3 of your AT that has a mere 18" range to be bound to AI AV10 vehicles that have a full 36'' threat range?
With the obscene amount of AI you already possess why take AI Voidstorms when you could take ~AV Malevolents (Melta Bomb/Power Maul) for about half the price? The prince and Baron still provide the squad with ap3 teeth so it's not like you'd be even losing anything within that squad. | |

Honestly I don't think you can consider 1 melta attach and 4 S6 attacks AV, but I agree that Voidstorms are not a needed unit. | |
