Female Archon comversions

I am looking at models for my future conversion.
What would you recommend for the base body?

Torn between a Vampire Countess, Dark Elf Sorceress or possibly the Cauldron of Blood witch elf.

Are you after GW models only or willing to look at other manufacturers? Raging Heros has cornered the market on female Dark Eldar proxies (check out the minis from their latest kick starter). Wargame Exlusive also has an ok looking female Kabalite champion.

Only GW as it's the only place I play at the minute, unfortunately

I don't know how complex conversion you want to do, but what i have done for my female archon is to take the old archon model, create the breasts with green stuff and then use a wych head instead of the one provided.

Because my sculpting skills are not so good, for the breasts, i used instant mold on a kabalite warrior female torso to create a mold and then use green stuff

I was looking at the Vampire Lord but can't find a picture of the sprue. Need to see if the head is easily replaced

I've been thinking along these lines too, but i have a severe dislike for finecast models.
I thought a kabalite warrior front torso and legs, a dark elf corsairs cloak/rear torso and suitable head/arms...

Loads of parts you can use off dark elf models if you add them to base female kabalite or wych bodies. I'm personally using a Lhamaean with the arms snipped and replaced with better weaponry.

If you're looking at using sorceress bodies you could probably go for any fantasy sorceress and replace the head with a wych head. Another option is to look at the new Sylvaneth character model, the one on the beetle. The girl on that looks like she might be convertible into an Archon. Thinking of maybe doing that myself but I'm still on the fence.

The issue with Alarielle is that the scale is really difficult to judge. She's actually huge! Not just the beetle, but herself too.

I'd really like those wings for my Exodite conversions though...

I made my female Archon with parts from the warrior kit, along with the Soul trap and a kit bashed glaive. I also used green-stuff to sculpt a cloak for her and gave her a unique base to stand on to set her apart from the rank and file. Adding some bits from a Hellion pack can also give an interesting look.
