Female Archon

I want a female Archon to lead my DE force, but am not quite sure how I want her to look. Was looking at some other GW models for inspiration, and found these two most interesting:

I really like the Lhamaean model, but she is missing that little extra making her worthy as an Archon model.

Isabella is also an awesome model, but she might look a little to "fantasy" like, and to dressed upp for a DE Archon.

I would need the models to be mostly GW models, as my closest GW shop only lets us use models with atleast 50% GW parts.

Well, my idea may not seem as fancy, and some people don't like this model (although I can't tell why):
The model on the left is the female Dark Eldar Lord from the last DEldar Codex. It could be converted well, although it would be difficult to obtain and it is a single piece of metal, so it could be difficult.

I think that a Howling Banshee model sould be converted well.

I am not a fan of the old female archon either, so think I will skip that one

The banshees are looking promising, nice poses, and good looking models. Just swap the head, weapons, and put on some spikes, I like it.

I also found this conversion while browsing, and I think it looks awesome!
Looks to me like its a normal succubus, with added armor. Suits me, as I already have a succubus model I am not using ^^

Anyway, that Succubus Idea is great, and that model is cool. If you do get around to making your female Archon, please post it. I'd love to see it!

i've built myself a female archon, it looks pretty decent. used an incubi body, phoneix guard halberd (for the power axe naturally!) and a spare armoured dager arm to represent a venom blade if i wanna keep it cheap.
put one of the wych heads on her with the really long extra bit of hair and put on a 'custom' pgl made from blast pistol barrels

here's one I made from a Warmachine warcaster Denegrah. I used the forarms from dark eldar warrior, a head from the hellion kit, but any bare headed male would work well too. and a converted hellion halberd.

Denny was always one of my favorites. Looks great

Elven faces are always androgynous, so if you use a males head on a female body, it winds up looking like an older woman due to the more gaunt features. That, and I love how pissed of she looks.

Thanks for the comments, guys. I am going to make the succubus based archon for now, but got a lot of other cool ideas from you. I'm planning on makeing an other eventually, but for now one will do. Will try to get some pics when I get her done

I just found another thing that would make an awesome conversion, although converting it to be 50% GW will be difficult.

This is the Raging Heroes Blood Vestal commander type model.
It is rather cheap too.

Skaryaa, the Blood Mistress... Woooow! She is the perfect arcon right from the box. Think I have to buy her just for my friendly games, she is just to awesome to not have!

Maby I'll get two, one to try converting with more GW parts. That is one amazing model.

I actually found it on the Druchii.com Dark Elf forum and instantly thought of this thread.

I was speechless when I saw it. Beautiful model. I am going to get one too.

If you guys like Skaryaa keep an eye on the Raging Heroes website. I just got an email saying that they are going to be releasing the final sculpts and opening pre-orders for their version of the "bloodbrides" within the next two days. They were taking suggestions through an online survey starting back in June about what players wanted to see weapons wise.

Ooh, I definately shall be on the lookout then, thanks Plague.

I do visit their site frequently, and depending on how good these new models will be I may get some alongside my Skaryaa model.

They're Blood dancers from the Wraith of Kings range. I reckon they'd be excellent for DE.

if you know anyone who plays cryx from war machine denegra from the box set is pretty easy to convert to 50% gw. it's what i did for my blaster archon, she is in my blog.

side note: you could totally use Shisou as a farseer or warlock.

Isabella Von Carstien would work really nicely with little to no conversion work too.

This is probably what you are looking for, one of the versions (one with the face horns) looks very similar to the current male Archon, also the great thing is that it comes with many different parts which you could maybe use with other DE bitz you have left over to create a great conversion.
