2000 point Freak Show against Chaos Deamons.

I got inspired by the new Harlequin rules, and decided to do something completely different than the Alliance of Agony that I usually play.
First of all, you need to know this is to play against a friend with Chaos Deamons. He usually has a crapload of Plaguebarers, some Nurglings, Be'Lakor, a Lord of Skulls, Lord of Change, and the rest kind of varies. But mostly Nurgle or Tzeench. Aside from the Lord of Skulls, he's very melee focussed.

I already used pretty much all of my CP for relics and stuff, and the remaining 2 CP are reserved for Black Cornucopians. I found out that usually the CP that I don't use for relics are kind of waisted in the end, so decided I want to try a different approach.

Plan is to tie the Lord of skulls up with the Skyweavers asap, and my Troupe + Troupe Master will join in a Starweaver. Haywire Cannons and Fusion Pistols should do the trick.

The Shadowseer stays with the 2 Death Jesters, who will mostly pull LD penalty shenanigans on the 30+ Plaguebarers I am definitely going to encounter, and my Coven will make quick work of that.

Urien with PoF Grotesques in a Raider, and the other Haemonculus with Dark Technomancers/Experimental Creations Talos. Always played PoF so far, so these custom obsessions are new for me.

I have also never played Drazhar or Incubi before, so I am curious to see what they can do. They will board a Raider and Venom, and I'll see where they are most needed.

My approach to building lists begins with battalion every time, so my natural inclination is to rebuild one of the detachments so you've got a few CP in your back pocket. You could easily fill the PoF out by dropping the harlequin troupe and starweaver, for instance.

That said, if you don't want to start making major changes, I'd recommend some tightening up. You've got a lot of upgrades splashed all over--liquifier gun on the acothyst, talos with the most expensive guns, etc. I think you could easily find points to get a 4th grotesque, maybe even a 4th skyweaver.

If not, an additional body, I'd at least recommend reaching for zephyrglaives on the skyweavers. The problem with the starbola is it's a grenade, so you can't throw it and fire your haywire cannon. So while it's a little cheaper, it doesn't have nearly the versatility. Being a legit threat in 2 phases is really nice.

I do see your point about the Skyweavers. I'll see how I can adjust that.

And I usually begin with a Kabal Battalion as well, but it just isn't working for me. I found out it always makes me waste points on units I am not interested it, and end up leaving 3x5 Kabalites in my deployment zone doing nothing. I thought I'd give this a try.

Part of the reason is also that I wanted to make a list with only models I already have. For example, I only have 3 Grotesques (see the link below my post for pictures) so even if I have the points, I can not add one now.

I will check what upgrades I can remove to add a 4th Skyweaver though.
