| Well if I had to bet, I would put my money on a new Battlefleet Gothic system that will take some elements from X-Wing. As for X-Wing - its still a new kid on the block and from what I hear it is starting to suffer the CCG games syndrome with the new releases. Reviving BFG would be a smart move IMO and not a naive one. | |

| Reviving BFG - and the other specialist games - would certainly be a good move. Trying to complete with X-Wing for customers, however... | |

| I might pick this up just for the reavers. And slap a spray of primer on to those towers and they make excellent dark eldar objective markers. I guess I'm sold on that alone. | |

| Actually rumor has it from GW's side that Armada was supposed to be a reboot of BFG under FFG. They got in contact with them about it after seeing the success of X-Wing and Armada's rules were supposed to be BFG reboot. FFG is alleged to take the idea and change it enough to not get in legal trouble to make Star Wars Armada.
I have no idea how true this is, but it has just enough truth to it to be the defending rumor kinda deal since people were really trash talking GW on some armada site at one point and some mysterious person posted that. It's been denied by other rumor people but no one will ever know the truth for legal reasons I suspect.
At any rate if the price is right on this I might pick it up anyways if its a discount for the models included.

| Nice to see that DE are finally getting a tiny bit of love but i had really hoped for the terrain to actually be something worthwhile and not just some ugly cardboard pieces. Will definitively get it still if the price is right for more fantastic reavers. | |

Will definitively get it still if the price is right for more fantastic reavers. If I wanted cardboard scenery I'd play Infinity. Say, there's an idea.

| Box seems to be... exactly what i expected. Hope price won`t bite to much. Then i probably even by this game with someone 50\50. Just for more reavers. In any other case - not worth it. | |

| I lold when I saw the "scenery". How cheap can GW be? I expected Spires, not whatever that junk is.
Well, at least there are 6 reavers in the box and not 3 as rumored, but I wont pay more than 65€ for this.

| This is rumoured to be roughly Lost Patrol sort of size. If it sells for the same price (£35) then I'll probably buy it, even though the terrain is laughably bad and I don't need the Hellions. If it's any more than that though I doubt I'll bother as I don't really need the Reavers as such. | |

| With how nice DE plastics are the Hellions are still good for conversion fodder.
You can then trade the skyboards to an ork player who wants storm boyz

| I can believe that FFG took an idea and did it with another franchise with more potential. X-Wing and SWA ride on the SW hype. W40K is still a niche setting worldwide compared to SW, Marvel or even Vampire/Werewolves high school stories. It would be foolish to think that FFG is different from GW in terms of chasing profit. Only GW's climax is a "has-been" and their strategy, target audience and even market position is totally different. FFG is a... well company that will make games for anything that sells. | |

| Well I may buy it for more Reavers and to just have some Hellion, definitely not getting it for the "terrain" now that I've seen it. | |

| Still waiting to actually see price in $CDN. But if its less than 2 boxes of reavers, than I may purchase. Need more reavers, and $45 for 3 is clownshoes ridiculous. | |

| I'm interested in the rules for this game, by most accounts GW's boxed games do tend to have good stand alone rules. | |

What ?! Your lack of taste is obvious ! Look at this magnificent Spire made of rare material and crafted with exquisite finesse.

| ...I'm not actually sure what the objects those are supposed to represent look like. I thought might scratch build something based on the design, but I honestly have no idea how that thing is supposed to be shaped.
Maybe the whole point is that they were built by Haemonculi in order to make anyone who looks at them for too long go mad.

| That's...that's madness.
That's basically 'buy one box of Reavers, get a second box for $1.'
