My preferences, well, it's along the lines of....Your time is worth more than money so a nicely converted and painted Baron would give me great joy, or an Archon born from your bits box, maybe objective markers or some pretty pain tokens painted nicely. There's more Ideas if you haven't got time but that's pretty much it, time and effort>money

That said, I'm just getting started, so I'm not looking for anything fancy. Painting is nice, but nt necessary, if you do, I like shiny black and purple.

I can't wait to see a picture of someone smiling over their gift.

I've said I'd be happy with something small - single figure, objective or item of scenery for my display board at tournaments.

Re basing either unbased so I can match it to my other items, or if you want to do something epic and need to base it, I do sand with small rocks in it (steal it from the beach..shush!) painted Adeptus grey, washed with Badab Black and drybrushed light grey.

One thing I think should be pointed out is that even if you get the gift sent to you before christmas, you (preferably) shouldn't open it until christmas day/eve (depending on where you live). Might feel a bit obvious for some, but worth noting nonetheless I think.

Got what I need, just deciding how to make the extra piece I need.

I got a package in the mail the other day. (wife hide it because she thought I had bought something and didnt tell her and then she remembered today that we were doing this secret santa thing) Well the problem is that it was open, the model is still in it, but their was no note or letter or anything that tells me who sent it from here.

Just telling the person that was sending me a gift doesn't need to message me just I wanted to tell them I got it and I like it and it made it ok.


Just to say what it was so the person knows for sure I got it. It was the Asharah model from the Raging Heroes website.

I've got the gift I'm sending in hand now (I wussed out and just bought new - I'll have ample justification for that once you know who I got and what they requested).

Should be in the post by the start of next week.

Suh-weet!!! Great to see that the first gift has arrived safely to successfully launch the raid. That's a really nice model Cailos, and a very early Xmas for you!

There's still lots of time left to build, bash, buy and mail our gifts, but let's keep the momentum going folks, and try to make sure that our gifts are all sent early enough to arrive in time for Xmas.
