Santa’s Secret Space Raid - 2011

This was never intended to be an absolute "wait until Christmas Eve to show your gift" event, but that does seem to be a good suggestion. I have been thinking about it for a few days now.

I won't make it a rule - if someone really, really wants to show something they got when they receive it, well that's up to them. And of course, if you want to show a Santa build in the Workshop but not say who it's for, that's perfectly alright too.

However, I would like to suggest that if possible, everyone holds off posting pics of their gift until either Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, the 24th or 25th.

And denizens who are sending a gift can take pics of it too before it disappears into the evil clutches of the mail, just in case their victim doesn't have a camera.

Now get back to work you miserable lot, before I find someone to test my new, hand-braided, mon-keigh skin whips on!

As much as I enjoy whips and chains, I am happy to report that my gift is on it's way.

Unfortunately, as soon as I got home from the post office I noticed the flying base still on the table.

Oh well, c'est la guerre.

Will be getting the gift I am sending in the mail this weekend or early next week. I have to wait it to get to my house. It will be new only because I don't know what my giftee does to their models and I don't want to take the joy of modelling away from my giftee.

I hope my giftee has gotten his gift.

Item is all packed up and will be in the post tomorrow...bit sad to see it go to be honest as I've grown rather fond of it!

My gift has arrived and it is bazamoutiful! I'll make sure to post pics on Christmas Eve!
Won't be able to paint it until then, though. No paint with me here in Japan.

Only 11 more sleeps until the Jolly Archon comes to hunt you down, I hope that everyone not yet finished is close to sending their grisly trophies in the mail!

Mine shipped a few days ago - though it's going a fair distance so...::shrugg:: It'll get there when it gets there

I just got the item I ordered two weeks ago my local guy got in a car wreck the day I ordered so he blanked out when doing the orders well it will be packed up and put in the mail today or tomorrow just saying that it my not be there for Christmas but it will be there before the end of the year at least.

RL happens and there's no point sweating it. Thanks for the heads up Cailos and everyone else, its great to know that there are more gifts on their way.

Received a most suspicious package in the mail today. My wracks could detect no explosive residues, nor any form of contact poisons. Now that it seems safe, is it permissable to open it, or should I wait?

Depends, are you the sort of Archon who can patiently bide his time before slowly sampling the delights of newfound wealth, piece by delicious piece? Or are you the type who just can't wait and scrambles to enjoy the fruits of his victories as quickly as possible, because you never know who is lurking around the next corner?

BTW - I have never found Wracks too reliable at this sort of thing. Wrap something inside of coffee beans and they are completely flummoxed. Useless.

I won't open mine til Christmas Eve, the Swedish tradition seems most fitting for this ;o)

My giftee's pressie went in the post on Monday, First class recorded so hopefully they will have it very soon ...

Just received my gift today. Secret Santa, you are my new best friend. Plastic toys AND chocolate?! Perfect good sir, perfect. And I can only begin to wonder how much shipping was. I'll post pics on the big day, though it will be hard not to eat my chocolate before then.

Still no word from my giftee ... He should have had it by now, our post is slow but surely not that slow. I'll check with the PO and see if its been signed for....

No news from my giftee either..hope it has arrived as Canada Post wanted a king's ransom! Oddly none of the cards I sent at the same time have arrived either..not good.

Nothing has arrived here either, but I don't know if my gifter has sent to me here in the UK or to my house in Canada..in which case it could be there waiting for my return.

I am going to our cottage now, and the gift has yet to arrive, so supposedly I won't get it until after christmas. Oh well.

While we have had tremendous participation and responses so far, unfortunately it appears that not every gift will be sent in time to make it to their victim before Christmas. And even some of those that were will suffer the perils of the Warp that is common to the mon-keighs' archaic postal system worldwide.

We can only hope that those that have not yet arrived will not be much longer in coming. Whoever said that "patience is a virtue" obviously wasn't a denizen of Commorragh!

Anyway, it is now Christmas Eve across much of this miserable, mon-keigh infested planet, and in the beautiful island paradise of Kirimati it will already be Christmas Day in just one and a half hours.

So, anyone who wants to post pics of their gift and send messages to their Santas (if they know who they are), have at it!
