Monthly Vow - January 2017

New Year, new vow. Tell us what you're planning for the month and use this as a spur to actually get it done! Successful vows, as ever, get the oh so glamorous Commorragh Purple font. As an added bonus, if you're competing in the Slave Games, you earn 3 Slave Points for completing your vow.

Squidmaster - Voidraven, Doomrider and painting the Relic Figurines
Count Adhemar - Build and paint a Harlequin Troupe, build and paint a Bloodthirster
Devilish - Convert two extra blood bowl Dark Elf Linemen and paint the whole team, paint the BB Vampire team, paint the BB Chaos team, build a voidraven bomber and a razorwing

1++ - Paint 18 Reaver Jetbikes, 2 converted Beastmasters and 6 (3 yet to be built) Clawed Fiends

Never done a vow before, but I figure its a good opportunity to force myself to keep my New Year's Resolution - no NEW projects until at least 3/4 of my current unfinished ones are finished.

So, for January, I'll make a start by committing to finishing the Voidraven, Doomrider and painting the Relic Figurines.

For my own vow I'm torn between a Harlequin Troupe, which I really need to do, and a Bloodthirster, which I really want to do. Maybe I'll manage both (yeah, right!).

Same as December with a little extra:

Convert two extra blood bowl Dark Elf Linemen and paint the whole team
Paint the BB Vampire team
Paint the BB Chaos team

Build a voidraven bomber and a razorwing

Well, I've got 27 Corsairs that need painting...but seeing as I got bored halfway though I'll say paint my Archon and first 5 Kabalites the True Kin need some love on my plog

Build/Convert One(1) Talos

Each conversion should fit the Tzimisce theme.

Bonus Vow: Don't buy more until you've fully built and painted what you've got... Yeah right.

Usually it is a pic of the finished model on this thread, but really whatever your preference is. I like to see everyone's progress on here as well as the project log, and not everyone has their own logs, so a to the ended of the month a thread of finished pics Ian always better to view. Just my opinion though

If my models get here after waiting since Christmas I plan on building 5 Skyweaver conversions, and 30 tactical marines.

Otherwise... Well I can wait.

After painting a bunch of Space Wolves (blergh!), I think i'm going to relax a little before starting 2 Ravagers this month.

Update on my vow; all 6 Clawed Fiends now biult, based and first layers done...although I'm thinking of only running 4 lol

18 Jetbikes moving along nicely, all under coated and front sections have all received their double washes of Druchii Violet. Rakarth drybrush then a Reikland wash and final Rakarth drybrush again. Going for a damaged, pale skin look for the army. Will need to put up pics soon...

Vow was going pretty well. Had everything built (plus a Daemon Prince) and primed and the base coats and highlights were nearly complete on the Harlequins but then real life intervened and I've not picked up a paintbrush since last Tuesday

Hopefully normal service will be resumed shortly.

My new project is the start of a completely new Kabal.
I haven't decided on a name or a colour scheme but I have decided on my first 1850pts.

I hope everybody else's projects are coming along well!
