| I... don't like them. I also don't like the Craftworld line of models, and these are craftworld models. This is super disappointing. I think the concept of the god of death is cooler than the... execution. I guess I'll just have to wait for some cool new battlesuit for Tau or something.
Edit The red guy is cool though.

| So to recap: Definitely Lady Malys. That's Prince Yriels cloak, not sure if him tho. Third one is basically an avatar of Ynnead?
I like everything about all of them

| Reposted from Dakka. There is hope we might see a DE model yet.
Facebook user: So are those names for the two Eldar, or honorific titles.. if the latter I'm still thinking Yriel and Malys.
Warhammer TV: They're new characters, though other heroes of the Eldar may have a part to play...

| They are not Lady Malys / Prince Yriels
from the video:
The Yncarne - Avatar of Ynnead (the new god on the block)
Yvraine - Emissary of Ynnead (lady in purple with cat)
The Visarch - Sword of Ynnead (guy in red)

| Yeah it's pretty clear that the first one is Lady Malice, and that the masked warrior is probably another old character with a new title (Yriel probably). With this model it looks like we are actually going in the direction of just one eldar faction, but it seems the style of the new faction will be pretty dark eldarish. Maybe a return to the origins of the eldar and how they were before the fall, so more dark than craftworlders. Sounds an interesting possibility.
On top of this models are really good, even if Malice exaggerated with her hat! XD

| Overall i like them. I would definitely buy them and try to convert them with DE pieces. I think the red guy you could almost paint in DE colors straight and it wouldnt look too out of place at all. Ii'm not... unhappy. | |

| The Visarch is neat, his armor has straps like Asurmen plus Incubi back blades so I wonder if he's related to the phoenix lords. I'd replace the head with a helmet I like more. His sword is pretty straightforwardly 'normal' as far as Eldar power swords go.
Interesting that the Avatar of Ynnead has a power sword with a 'battery', compared to khaine's wailing doom which doesn't have technological elements.

| Looking at most responses around the internet the reception seems to be mixed. First big dud GW has put out in ages. Ah well they can't all be big wins. | |

| I'm also looking at those responses, and seeing YOUR comments. It isn't nearly as muted as your projecting, and you are projecting.
Lol you're literally in the negative in some.

| I don't think it's going to be a dud. I think they're all awesome! And we're getting more, as hinted by the GW facebook team! Because they're mixing styles, not every person from each style will be happy, but combined I think they'll do well. I theorized that the light that shot off from the death masque story was actually Ynead, and represented the potential for success despite appearing to be failure. Looks like I might have been right! I can't even afford to buy models right now, really, but I'll buy this when it comes out. The avatar model is awesome. Hopefully she get's sufficiently awesome rules to go along with the model. Think it will be a lord of war? | |

| On the plus side, look like it would be pretty simple to remove that ridiculous headdress from the Emissary and reattach the hair at the top of the top knot. | |

| They look like a pure blend between DE and Craftworld. There are an incredible amount of spirit stones on these models. Also with the Avatar twirling them about, is (S)he pulling the spirits out to command?
Either way, cool models, I'll need fluff before I decide I like them though.

| Nah when the IoM triumvirate dropped the 40k fanbase exploded I couldn't even keep up with the discussions. Here it's like... eh kinda cool maybe.
Edit I don't think this is a flop, but I don't think it's another big hit like Deathwatch, Genestealers, Thousands Sons, Magnus, the Lord of Change (my god that model is sick), and and many of their AoS releases have been.

These are not Craftworld models. Both Yvraine and The Visarch quite clearly blends Dark Eldar and Craftworld aesthetics - Yvraine's blade is a cross between a huskblade and an Eldar power sword, her outfit being a Dark Eldar jumpsuit with Craftworld embellishments, and The Visarch's armour is similarly closer to Dark Eldar with Craftworld embellishments and added Harlequin motifs. - Garion wrote:

Personally, I wouldn't assume anything based on the names and titles given in the video. Characters from Warhammer Fantasy got an overhaul with the End Times/AoS, complete with new titles and at least one got a new name. The comment from Warhammer TV's community manager about them being new characters changes things though. If they genuinely are completely new characters, I'm going to be rather bitter about Yvraine not being a Lady Malys model - she's geared precisely how Malys was.

There aren't nearly as many eldar/DE/harley players as there are IoM. IoM encompasses like 20 factions, while this release only touches on 3. It's not a fair comparison. They even made it so that almost any IoM player could incorporate the triumverate into their army with whatever models they already had(something GW is normally hesitant to do). They normally designed things to force you to buy a bunch more stuff. They didn't do that with the IoM triumverate.

| Nah Betray don't you know? EVERYBODY is going to play dark aeldarriiii now!?!?!
Seriously tho this response is anything but tepid for who is getting stuff and what we're getting. We're already the faction with the best models, we care about what rules we'll be getting.

| Yeah true but even factoring that in something just seems "off" in the hype levels after this. Genestealers got way more attention and love and have a tiny player base than even Eldar and brought in tons of new players to that army. I don't think this is as successful. People said GSC would never be made ever due to their fanbase being so small and the models being so dumb looking ect. (until the reboot). There was anti-hype even and then the actual real reception was terrific. | |
