| Well. Ynnead is the next big Eldar thing. So all pointy ears: jump the hype train and hail our savior! HAIL!
I like the models. All of them look much more like dark Eldar than Craftworld Eldar. Now we just have to wait for the rules. Maybe we'll even get some kind of Decurion...

It was just hinted at on a new, obscure website that many people haven't transitioned to yet. Before today, I've never bothered to look at warhammer-community.com. And the hint hasn't even been mentioned yet on places like faeit, which is where a lot of people get their initial rumours.(I do.) I'm sure the "hype" will pick up steam as more and more people hear about this.

| I dont like the "power huskblade". They should not merge the CWE and DE at such base level. DE weapon in CWE hands - OK, but this? Visarch is really nice, although I will probably change his swords. "Malys" should lose the headgear and phat ass. :-D | |

| I wonder if this is going to be presented as a pseudo new faction, or if it will just be a sort of unifying presence to allow us to more easily field the eldar factions together. If it follows suit with gathering storm 1, it will be the latter, and if our available unit choices are as robust, it will be AMAZING.
Also, they've already said these aren't old characters with new looks. These are all brand new characters, not malys, yriel, etc. But they hinted that other characters "might have a part to play later"

| If everyone gets something special, then it's not special. If everyone gets access to the same decurion, it's just another CAD. | |

| That's only true if it's identical to a CAD. You should probably study some more logic before you try to use it. You're throwing out/casting aside so much gray in your black and white thinking that I'm just not going to entertain your opinion anymore. | |

| The models look awesome, and the fluff seems like it will be a blast.
I hope, dearly, that the models can be used with any faction. That would be awesome.

| What I mean is, if all 3 factions get the same units, they're not special or unique. Same goes for formations. If there is a decurion in the book, it's gonna have the effectiveness of a CAD since everyone can use it. It will not be individualized. I was hoping for neat special stuff, what I'm getting is Craftworld toys with GW asking them to share. | |

| That has been the case since 7th edition dropped and yet you can still play mono-dark eldar. We've always been a grand alliance with our compatriots. You not wanting to use their toys even with ignorign their fluff doesn't change that. | |

| The models do heavily support the rumors abound of all Eldar factions being merged and renamed (copyright) for 8th.
Edit. The other substantial rumor is we'll be getting Trueborn, Incubi and a special character release, soooo, i'm hoping they keep more to DE aethetics than a mix with Craftworld Eldar.

| Except that isn't what happened in Age of Sigmar at all. Sigmar divided the factions back up into constituent parts. Dark Elves isn't 1 faction its like 4. Each Skaven Clan is it's own faction. There's just ALSO a way to play them together. | |

| True that. I also do not think that we will be actually rolled into one big faction before 8th. I cant see SMs commanding mechanicum units any more than I can see Archon directing Craftworld Guardians.
EDIT: and true about AoS. Its more like building army out of formations than separate units from one big codex to fill the CAD slots.

| I'm sure we'll get new lore for them and I would not be surprised if they are calling them new characters expressly so they can kill them off. | |

| I really like them. I love that the Eldar fluff is moving forward.
There are just so many conversion opportunities in these for HQ!!
(And Biel-Tan was my first army so I'm happy)

| I'm so tired of GW creating new models and characters while core armies suffer, Yvraine - Emissary of Ynnead is basically Lady Malys. I get that the teaser was an Eldar symbol and what not but still. Kinda feel robbed with such a beautiful model that fits the description of the lady and they give it to the Eldar...
The Avatar looks more like a Slaanesh Daemon than an Avatar of the dead. The Visarch looks like an Incubi with so many stones hehe
I dunno, great looking models but I feel so cheated with this release lol.

| Except there is no evidence whatsoever that's what they did and your feeling cheated is simply narrow mindedness towards the unknown. | |

tks for the personal attack? <3 There is being narrow minded and also seeing a trend with the status quo as well. They're amazing models I'm just really not feeling how they're being presented or potentially applied to the lore with such a great opportunity to bolster weaker factions is all.

| Your welcome! There's been so much blatant disinformation posted by forum members that I'm calling a spade a spade. And for the record that's not a personal attack. Your argument itself is narrowminded
An edit in response to your new edit:
That is totally different from what you said above. Equally invalid, but not nearly as narrowminded.

| Well, if GW follows the trend set in Fall of Cadia they are not exclusively CWE, and their design surely suggest they aren't. As for The Avatar being too slaaneshi, Slaanesh is tecnically an Eldar good. | |

| I hadn't even considered the chance or implications of a "mix and match" detachment like the imperials got.
I finally don't have to start my eldar allies outside of the transport if so lol
I agree the Avatar is a little slaneesh, but the horned half of the face still looks really really cool.

| Don't get me wrong I think the Avatar looks really cool, it just doesn't feel god of the dead to me.
I love how all the stones are swirling around the broken wraith bone. It's like a portion the infinity matrix was broken in an attempt to make the god but failed and only created an avatar.
